1. SUPER BOWL, baby!!!!!!!

2. Okay, let's get this out of the way. Here's the bottom line on the missed call. Yes, it was pass interference, and yes, if it was called, the Saints probably win. However, the Refs swallowed their whistles throughout the game, most often to the Rams' detriment. If ALL of the penalties that should have been called were called, there's no guarantee that the Saints come out on top.

3. Its unfortunate that one call is getting so much attention, as the Rams did so many great things to win that game.

4. You have to start with the defense. Holding the Saints to 290 yards and 23 points, and getting a key turnover in overtime. That's how you win football games.

5. Ndamukong Suh has earned his money in the last two weeks. Some will say its a question of effort, and perhaps there is a modicum of truth to that, but I think the style of defense (greater focus on the run) is a big reason why he's suddenly showing up big.

6. Dante Fowler is proving to have been a key acquisition, and I'd like to see him in horns again next year.

7. Lamarcus Joyner almost cost us the game. Gotta play the ball better than that.

8. Todd Gurley is probably not 100%, but I wouldn't underestimate his potential to have a big game in two weeks. I'm sure Belichick won't underestimate it either.

9. The way Jared Goff fought back after a tough first quarter and lead a comeback... twice (13-0, 20-10)... well, that should be the end of any debate over whether he's the Rams' franchise QB for the foreseeable future.

10. His throws to Everett on the game tying drive, and Higbee (twice) on the game winning drive were pure clutch.

11. There is no question that we miss Cooper Kupp, but how great was it to see 149 receiving yards (and a TD) from the trio of Josh Reynolds, Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett?

12. Its also great to see old warriors like Andrew Whitworth, Rodger Saffold and John Sullivan get a chance to play in the big game.

13. Wade Phillips has done a great job coaching and adjusting in the playoffs.

14. Sean McVay's ability to change the script on the fly is also extremely impressive.

15. Michael Thomas: 4 receptions, 36 yards. How huge was that?

16. Greg Zuerlein sealed a place in the hearts of Rams fans forever.

17. Johnny Hekker is the greatest Punterback of all time (well, maybe Danny White has something to say about that, but you get my point.)

18. They say the Patriots are great at taking away the one thing opposing offenses rely upon. My question is, with this Rams team, what is that one thing? I'm not sure it exists.

19. I'll post another 20 thoughts on the Super Bowl next week but, for now...

20. LET'S ENJOY THE MOMENT!!!!!

Agreed! Goff proved he can be clutch!!

BTW, has Max even posted one f-n post since the game ended about Goff?? I want to see him eating some crow and maybe change his sig for week just like you did! He was always so quick to bash Goff but very slow since yesterday to post anything! lol

The magnitude of this has been vastly under appreciated in the media. (Obviously "the non call" has been the biggest talking point)
Thomas was incredible this season, his catch rate was an unheard of 85%. His 4 catches wasn't the bi-product of focusing elsewhere, he had the targets (7) which left him at a 57% catch rate. They stopped him, period

1. WOO HOO!!!
2. I don’t know if it was as egregious as it’s been made out, live I thought it was close but I think the camera angle made it look worse. That said, even NRC admits he got away with one.
Let’s talk about the helmet to helmet aspect, have there been any flags for it in the playoffs at all? Don’t recall any.
3. The outcry is getting out of hand, the commissioner should put the Saints in , they should replay the last 3 minutes, make it reviewable, give coaches challenges. Stop please.
7. I think it was such a poor throw that he wasn’t ready for it, but yeah, you can’t wait for it to come down.
9. I’m really happy for Goff, people were banging on him leading up to the game saying he was the weak link and the worst qb in the playoffs and he had a better 2nd half than Brees.
13. Again, people were calling for Wade’s head, saying he was losing it, but the defense stepped up their game shutting down the Cowboys and limiting the Saints.
17. Hekker has several fakes this year how are you not ready? This has to help the coverage unit as well, the defense has to protect the first down marker. I don’t know if I’d be trying any against the patriots though.
18. That’s the question, the Pats shut down the run doubled Hill and beat up Kelce, I imagine they want to stop the Rams run game as well, but I don’t think there’s one guy to focus on. So I think it’ll be more of a chess match for Goff and McVay to figure out.
The Pats know very well what Cooks can do and teams fear him getting behind the d which gives Woods more room, I think without the difficulty of the environment Goff hits Woods on one of the last 2 plays for a td.

Did they?

Looking at the box score, it seems that the Chiefs called 37 pass plays and 10 running plays.

I don't see the Rams with that type of play calling.

I think the Rams will have some success running the ball against the Patriots.

I can see the Patriots going after Goff. He's young and possibly flappable in such a big game. If the run game sputters with Gurley again even better for them.

The Rams have a few more targets than the Chiefs have so the numbers won't work out as easy. I see NE loading up and tee'ing off on Goff. I hope the protections are there.
