6. I think that, for the first time in 20 years, the prospect of an NFL team (or teams) in Los Angeles is not only real but is certain. The Chargers have already announced they will apply for relocation in January, and I expect the Raiders and Rams to join as applicants. As for approval from the NFL and other owners, that is certainly trending as well. Although the home team markets still have time to step up their proposals, the NFL—not the Chargers, Rams or Raiders—appears to be checking the boxes towards relocation, recently doing the owners’ dirty work in holding tense town-hall meetings. My best guess is that either the Rams or Chargers, not both, will move to L.A. next year, with a political showdown for ownership votes looming between Stan Kroenke (Rams) and Dean Spanos (Chargers) coming in early 2016 (which, of course, is an election year).

So King has it down to 2 for certain. Not both.
I agree and for reasons he doesn't state. It becomes easier if StL's BoA doesn't appropriate the funds or more likely the MO legislature gives a big thumbs down.
Can Spanos even afford to do it in his own? Where would he build his stadium? Carson. He's be in the Coliseum for 4 years.. ?
"best guess is that either the Rams or Chargers, not both, will move to L.A. next year" My guess is Rams as it still affords leverage for the league and and alternative for Spanos IF SD fails again. The other way around finishes it but loses the leverage and Inglewood...

After seeing some SD home games this year, the apathy over the Chargers is real with a lot of visiting fans (they still outdraw the Rams every week by a significant margin). They sure as hell aren't going to develop a fan base in LA with more Raider and Ram fans plus a lousy team (honestly looks like a team that will be bad for awhile).

The Chargers should move to a place with a rabid fan base eager for a team like Toronto, Portland or San Antonio. A place that won't care about recent records and just wants the NFL.
