I always felt that option is why the NFL will ultimately allow Kroenke to move his team. They know they can't win a lawsuit. They don't want a PR mess like that on their hands. They've been taking too many hits lately. The only issue is how to take care of Spanos and Davis.

The irony of the situation is palatable.

Rams are voted down in 1994 - Jay Nixon threatens an antitrust lawsuit - Rams move is approved.

Personally, I don't think that it will come to that, but if it does it will be entertaining to watch the posters at the Compost heads explode.

Some think that the Chargers and Goldman would counter sue. My question is on what grounds would they base it on? Just plain stupid. The Rams couldn't keep the Raiders out so the Chargers attempt would fail also.

Scares me that Kroenke has said he'll do what the owners agree on (or some form of that)
Would he then turn around and give them the finger? Dont get the vibe he's that kind of guy

Counter sue with what? That the LA area is not big enough for 2 teams to compete?

Sounds like the Chargers would have a difficult time using the courts to stifle competition.

Maybe Judge Frawley has a cousin in LA who is a Charger fan that would hear the case

Yeah, the can use the courts to move themselves. But I don't see how they can stop another team from moving if the NFL can't.

If Spanos tries a lawsuit, all the crap wrong with the Carson site will come out, and he's been trying hard to keep a lid on it.
