He eats where you eat, drives what you drive (or perhaps you drive something a little better equipped than a 1997 Dodge Caravan), and probably more than any owner in the league, Davis has never been too proud to mingle with the fans. But on Sunday afternoon, it was clear his popularity among fans (specifically those opposed to him moving the team) in Oakland could be running thin.Nevertheless, Davis was there in Napa among the fans, speaking candidly.Perhaps the most interesting account of Davis’ statements (and it sounds like he had some zingers) was the timeline he gave to move the team. When asked if the Raiders are staying in Oakland, Davis’ response was, “For the next three years, yes.” Asked about his plans beyond three years, Davis didn’t mince words. “After three years, I want to go to Vegas.”The full video can be seen here: https://www.periscope.tv/26DrDeath/1BRJjkWwpDVxwObviously, much is still up in the air, but if this account is accurate, Davis’ plan appears to be to move the Raiders to Las Vegas for the 2019 season.twitter: @raidersbeat RFU Season Ticket Holder by RamHard 8 years 10 months ago Total posts: 63 Joined: Apr 22 2016 LA Coliseum Practice Squad Re: MARK DAVIS ON THE RAIDERS: THREE MORE YEARS IN OAKLAND, THEN VEGAS POST #2 He eats where you eat, drives what you drive (or perhaps you drive something a little better equipped than a 1997 Dodge Caravan), and probably more than any owner in the league, Davis has never been too proud to mingle with the fans.Gracias a Dios we do not get our haircut at the same place! MD thinks he can move to Vegas and keep his fan base largely in tact, at least that's how he's pitching it: It's easy to get to Vegas from both Oakland and L.A. So he thinks he can have a good relationship with the Oakland fans those 3 years the Vegas stadium is being built.Of course, i don't know what he's really thinking, but that's how he's spinning it... Of course, unlike LA, there aren't any NFL caliber football stadiums in LV and playing outdoors there would seem prohibitive anyway. Way to hot. So what other choices do they have. Staying in Oakland would be better than going to neutral site in the interim. I think. I guess he could have kept his mouth shut about it, but it would be hard to hide a stadium being built in LV and I am certain that the folks in LV want to begin marketing this thing asap.
