There was a little flare up in June when Bernie basically called Vinny a hack on his PD board and then apologized on Twitter. Vinny was very gracious and that was that. I'm sure neither of them want anything to do with a feud but here they are again...

Vinny took the high road. Bernie had no clue who Vinny was.

Vinny works a lot harder than Bernie. Bernie got fat on the Martz - Zygmunt diet. I can't remember the last time the guy was at camp or a presser.

The "Will LA support the Rams?" is a freaking joke. Good Lord, there are over 20 million people in the LA area. They think they can't get 80,000 people to go to a brand new NFL stadium that will be on national TV every Sunday? Get Real. LA Rams games will be a hot ticket no matter how good the team is for their first 2 or 3 years. Sellouts every home game. LA is starving for Pro-Football.

Like i said, Bernie is sad. He's the every man, the man on the street, St. Louis is hurting with the prospect of losing the Rams, so they're lashing out. Bernie's trying to tap into that.

I mentioned this before but after SB XXXVI, Bernie wrote:

http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB1012838215651927280

"Perhaps the Rams were doomed from the start," writes Bernie Miklasz. "If you believe in destiny, maybe this is the way it was supposed to be, with a team called the Patriots winning on a Super Sunday that was set up as a star-spangled showcase to celebrate the strong spirit of America after the tragedy of Sept. 11."

(This is all i could find, an excerpt from the WSJ. Does anyone have the original column, zn maybe?)

Anyway, if the Rams do move to L.A., expect a Bernie column saying it was the right thing...

I got a little ill last week when I read Vinny write: "According to my tremendously talented St. Louis colleague Bernie Miklasz from the St. Louis Post Dispatch . . . ."

I wish it was sarcastic, but it didn't seem to be.

Anyhow, praying for war, preparing for peace

Guess between his last column on fan numbers and the Vinny War, it was too much. Or as Hawk Harrelson
might say -- "He Gone":

Still doing a local radio show in St. Lou though.

I guess Bernie will be out as either was as a HOF Selector since he's no longer a sportswriter. He may have stayed as an at large selector but someone else would have to go for Bernie to remain after the Rams move.
