He is projecting to go in the late 3rd through 4th round. He's got not year one starter, but neither was Tyler Higbee.

He is the kind of player that I think the Rams might have in the mix if they wait until the 3rd round like they might. He's got good length, with very good speed for a man his size. He's shown good awareness and runs more than a simplistic route tree. He's a willing blocker and is the kind of guy I think Snead was talking about. He needs a year of polishing, not development per se.

Ferguson is a legit weapon in the passing game, much better overall than Davis Allen who is a limited athlete. I can see him having a limited rotational role as a rookie, especially after mid season.

Ferguson would be my third choice after Mason Taylor and Gunman Helm (assuming Warren and Loveland are gone) for TE which I think the Rams should take first.

I completely agree because I think those guys might be gone by the time the Rams pick in the third.
