I expected marginal success for xRAM Louis Perez but not the track he’s been on since being cut by the Rams. Granted, it’s not the NFL but I liked everything I saw in him and when I think about Perkins, Allen, Rypien, Bennett and even JimmyG, I still wonder why Perez was the guy we had to cut.

I agree because he was clearly better than Wolford. Considering how JAGS like Lance are still bouncing around when they have convincingly shown they can't play at this level it's like the NFL has myopia when it comes to some positions.

Perez looks better than some #2QBs. He would never be a starter, but might make a decent backup. Meanwhile guys like Lance are laughing all the way to the bank.

We don't usually see posts like this until about June. A little early, but it is the off-season.

I'm not saying the Rams should sign him. They are set at both QB positions. Besides the Rams have their JAG QB in Bennett.

But teams like the Chargers just signed Lance? Why? Just a camp arm?

I'm talking about teams that need a QB1 or are looking at him as a QB1 possibility. Bennett is simply a camp arm and someone to play preseason. But why carry him all season on PS where they pay him over $11G a week? Talk about charity.

The Rams need a QB1 and wasted a couple of years on a guy who will never be that.
