Well, the only move left in the QB room is who, if anyone, replaces Bennett??

What does this mean for Stetson? Will the Rams carry a 3rd QB? With the new bigger PS and it being easy to move players up and down, carrying 3 QBs has become more common and McVay has done it many of his years here, so i guess probably yes they will carry a 3rd. But i still think 2 is plenty...

We will have a third QB, it just wont be Stetson. Got to take a chance on one of the mid QB's and see if they can develop.

I hear you, and not saying you're wrong but McVay's history with the Rams so far at QB has been plug and play, not draft and develop...

Them days are over, we got 1 & 2 locked up, Rams know they need to start develop now or at least try, next year becomes critical.

I don't know about Bennett, but I think signing Jimmy for only one year telegraphs the Rams intent to grab a new QB to sit him behind Stafford next year. I suppose we could grab someone this year to run the PS, then promote whoever that is to back up next year. I'd still be over the moon if we grabbed McCord, Dart, and to a lesser extent Milroe, and Milroe only because he is EASILY the most athletic QB in the draft this year, but also to my eyes seem like the biggest project.

That's a little pricey. But if there was a market for him, guess you have to pay.

Interesting and potentially significant. Right now it looks like the Rams are kicking the QB can down the road. Obviously they have a plan, but they aren't showing much if anything at this point. This is an all out assault on getting to the SB again.

Oh well, all we can do is wait and see what they do, not just in the draft but beyond that. Jimmy looks like a less expensive alternative to Stafford next year. The question arises, does Sean view him as more long term? Is Jimmy on board to rest Stafford periodically during the season? It certainly opens up a lot of questions.

Signing Jimmy doesn't preclude taking a QB but it certainly shows that the Rams are going all out to win a Lombardi this year.
