Ok, first off I like SB as a person. As a football player I wish him the best, but not in a Rams uniform.

Ok, so here it goes. I have a few OU football friends on my Facebook page. So I see random posts about OU football. One today was about SB donating 500K to OU athletics. Now mind you he did this a few years ago but someone one the OU Facebook page commented on it so it was fresh from that. Two of my friends liked the post. I read a few responses and we'll all I can say is my blood boiled. Like out of my ears, nose and eyes. So I politely recommended that the OU fans thank the Rams 72 million times instead of SB.

Well as if I had pissed on the Boomer Wagon I have a loyal OU fan tell me off with his 4th grade writing style. Typically I ignore such rants but today I am not obliged to ignore. I acknowledge I might have hurt his feelings along with his wife who is likely his sister, cousin, and aunt. Had to make sure I covered a few bases. Then for some reason I am getting really angry with the guy because he attacked the Rams with his response. So I question if he made it out of elementary school due to his writing style(mine isn't much better but I understand the difference between you're and your). I acknowledge Oklahoma is a great state and I refuse to believe it's the states fault for his lack of education.

I felt bad afterward, but got over it when he sent me a message threatening to defile my rear end. I wanted to explain I don't take to defiling any part of my body, especially my rear end. I took the high road and blocked him. Upon further contemplation I should have not responded in the first place.

Thanks for reading my dribble.

Careful, you never know who is behind the keyboard.

The Rams sure paid a hefty price for that 1st player selected. Typical Rams luck that the rules and max you could pay a rookie changed the year after they had that 1st selection. Using a glass half full approach, SB might not have been worth it but since he couldn't help the team get much better (for what ever reason), we got uite a few more high draft pick who we didn't have to pay as much. Kind of a cost averaging way to look at it. lol

Now if Bradford want's to give to a good charity, he can donate $500K to the RFU season ticket fund. I'd give him mad props for that.

I totally hear you Hacksaw. I am not worried.

That one year killed the salary scale for the Rams, well the other top teams too. Sadly, it just wasn't meant to be for SB and the Rams.

I don't personally share any of this antipathy to Bradford.

Not sure what fuels it after he was traded away.

I only even mention it for a sense of balance. 8-)

I have nothing against SB. I truly wish he would of had a great career with the Rams. Crap even a decent career. Like I posted before it just wasn't meant to be.

I've often wondered if it's any one thing. For some, it's because he wasn't Suh. For others, it's because he had a large rookie deal. After that, it becomes a bit more murky. Some were probably disappointed because of his draft position that he wasn't the next Peyton Manning.

But I was always surprised at the response to him getting injured. People seemed to hate him for it.

I was only hoping for a guy who could put the team on his back through thick or thin and get the W. A guy that made plays when needed.
The knee thing along with his musculature and frame just cemented the deal.. So as Tom Petty said,, "It's time to move on.. it's time to get going"...

That's an odd one to me. Interesting fact---because he signed in 2010, before the new CBA, he got a 6 year deal.

QBs drafted after 2010 get 4 year deals.

Right now the going rate for a young starting qb up for his second contract is anywhere from 16 to 20 M, with the avg. at 18 M.

That means that for 2 years of his deal, SB was underpaid for a 5th and 6th year starting qb. The avg, as I said is around 18 M...his average was around 13 M per year. Because of the new CBA, he actually worked out to be cheaper.
