an understatement. More D talent than expected but DBs playing like ADHD cats chasing red dots. Trading EJ was the dumbest fucking decision in years. Maybe he wasn’t Shula’s guy but he cost Rams next to nothing this year and the sink hole he left just sunk our season. I’m sure we’ll win the next 8 in a row.

The young DLine played well early getting sacks negated by DB penalties but they ran out of gas early and never recovered. Stafford obviously had a horrible game and as creative as the play calling was last week, it was equally predictable today. And oh yeah, Karty’s nick name won’t be Karty-Party it will be Kardiac.

Barring a miracle this is officially the last year for several big names on offense. Can the get to .500? Sure. Does it matter…? nope

I see a 5 win season. We just won’t get enough fire power back soon enough to offset the sieve of a defense. Shula is probably not the answer at DC. But what can MCV do at this point? Ride it out and make a change in the offseason is my guess. Unless they think Aubrey can make a major difference. Let’s see what happens with the secondary shuffle once D Will gets back.

I think a change at ILB is warranted at this point. They literally can’t get any worse.

And none of this will matter if something doesn’t change with the Redzone offense. Absolutely putrid.

I edited your post when I meant to quote it. Sorry Waddy. Corrected.

Makes it hard to fire them when they aren’t getting it done. MCV said he thought the D played well. Uhh, they gave up 24 coach, got gashed by the run…..again, had horrible - drive extending penalties in the secondary….again.

pretty much what I saw. McVay is trying to find a silver lining. There were positives from WRs not dropping passes but this has to be the softest TE crew we’ve ever fielded. As the announcer called it out, you’re a 6’5’ TE and you get bounced out of bound short of the sticks by 180 pound DB? The least of our worries but still disappointing a supposed strength ends up being another weak link.

Frankly, can’t wait until Davis Allen is the pass catching TE and Colby P. can go to in-line blocker.

I think the Staff game planned harder for SF than this game. This looked like lazy coaching.

If the redzone offense was better.....the angst over the defense wouldn't be the issue.

Did the Bears win because:

Their offense dominated our defense?

or

Their defense dominated our offense?

7 of their 24 points was the result of a very short field. Don't fumble. Score 2 TDs instead of FGs, the score is 24-17 Rams and we're talking about how much pressure our young DL is applying.

There are zero positives to take away from this game. The performance was putrid. Horrible red zone offense. Verse lost at least 2 sacks because the secondary can't cover without grabbing the receiver - not to mention giving them a TD after the fumble when it looked like we forced a FG. Tre White is cooked. We took a swing on an often injured, older, former pro bowl QB that is but a shell of his former self. When do we get DWill back? He should be eligible this coming week.... it wouldn't surprise me if he still isn't ready to go.

Next week we get the Packers - Jordan Love just put up almost 400 yards and 4 TDs on the Vikings defense - what will he do against our secondary? Staring 1-4 in the face, and all hope of a successful season is gone.

It would not surprise me if this is #9's last season. I think that was signaled with the current lack of guaranteed money past this year.

This I totally agree with and thought it at the time, Parkinson has soft hands but is the least physical tight end I have seen. I hope we can get to see Davis Allen soon, he doesnt go down easily. Parkinson also whiffed on the block that got Stafford sack fumble.
