OK, tell me what I’m missing. 2 weeks before opening day, the Rams trade their top Defensive veteran, team Captain, top tackler and D signal caller for a bag of chips.

Next they move Avila from C back to G and make their 50m FA G their Center with all of 12 plays of experience at C.

Then they announce their All Pro RB will be returning punts and their Rookie RB behind him will be returning KOs.

NOW Cooper Kupp will be handling kicker duties on kick offs.

Is McVay giving Mad Mike a run for his money?

I don’t know why this loaded 3 times or why this site does not allow deleting them. Kupp said he’ll be handling the opening kickoff duties as Kicker for the Rams. No more than that and McVay has not confirmed per Rams Turf

Kupp will be kicking the ball off?

Sounds like somebody is pulling somebody's leg.

Either that or Kupp is risking pulling something in his leg...

Speaking on his podcast Daily Grind co-hosted by his wife, WR Cooper Kupp has revealed that he will be kicking for the Rams kickoff unit in Detroit on Sunday Night Football.

Around the 7:20 mark, the veteran wideout says:

“We are six days away from kickoff and I will be doing the opening kickoff. Dropping that right here now. I’m literally out there kicking the ball to start things off. Pretty cool, pretty cool.”
