Can the Rams shock the world, and beat the Ravens in Baltimore? We will see. If they can upset Baltimore, the playoffs for us, would look real good. It is possible, that last game against the 9ers could mean a lot for both teams. San Fran could be playing for Home Field throughout, and for us, it could be playoff positioning, or getting into the playoffs.

On one hand I have an uncomfortable memory of Baltimore scoring 6 TDs on their first 6 possessions taking a 42-6 lead with 8 minutes left in the 3rd. On the other hand, though they're 6-1 over their last 7, they are without Mark Andrews and they've played some weak teams....Tennessee, Arizona, Cincinnati. They beat Detroit by 32 and Seattle by 34 though.

The most points they've allowed over their last 7 games is 33 to Cleveland (with Watson) and 24 to Arizona (without Murray). What a stiff test for our offense facing the #1 defense and the #2 defense in consecutive weeks. FWIW, the most points the Browns allowed before yesterday was 31 to Baltimore in week 10 and 38 to Indy in week 7. So there's that.

So what's the game plan? Yesterday, I thought in lieu of the Browns allowing 172 yards to Pittsburgh and 169 yards to Denver on the ground the previous two weeks, we'd run early and often. We ran 3 times on our first possession (6 plays) but just 7 times over the next 30 plays and 3 of those were on the last drive of the half. We ended with a 40/60 run/pass ratio.

The Ravens have allowed 129 (Arz), 178 (Clev) and 136 (Cincy) on the ground over their last 5 games. They haven't allowed 200 yards passing during that span. So naturally, McVay will come out throwing!! In beating the Ravens, the Browns scored 2 offensive TDs, kicked 4 FGs and had a pick 6. The last time we played them we had 300 yards passing and 73 yards on the ground. And OBJ caught the winning TD with 0:57 left. Of course that was vs. Tyler Huntley not Lamar.

A win is not impossible but it's going to take a Herculean effort and a complete game. That's something we've had a hard time producing this year. However, over our last 2 games, our score by quarter has been 17-17-10-29 and if we go back to the 4th vs Seattle (10), we've scored 83 points in the last 9 quarters (9.3 per). That's about as complete as we could hope for. But we have to stop the run vs Baltimore. Not easy.

After watching Philly getting smoked by SF and Greenbay getting the best of KC I'd say anything is possible, but I don't expect the Rams will beat either Baltimore or the Niners. The other 3 may get them into the playoffs, though.

Yesterday's win gives them a margin for error. They could lose next week and still make the playoffs if they beat the lesser teams. I think 9 wins will be good enough for a playoff spot.

You're the new me. I always think Vegas is giving the Rams too much credit. I knew what the spread was before i had a chance to think of my own number but i might have said 7.5.

Gonna be tough to get a win.

Baltimore likely the best team in the AFC, coming off a bye, morning game. Early weather forecast doesn't look bad though...

As long as we win the games we "could" win ( Wash, N.O., NYG) that puts us at 9-8. That would probably put us in the Tournament. We would just need Seattle to NOT go 4-1, and they have 2 remaining "hard" games (as we do) against Philadelphia and San Francisco. And would need Minnesota to not go 4-1 which seems do-able.

If we "only" have 9 wins, we're gonna need help. Losing tie breaker to Green Bay and most likely Minnesota based on common opponents. There is an unfortunate scenario where we end up with 9 wins and miss out. That would suck.

As PA asked, what’s the game plan? What are the weaknesses MCV and Raheem think they can exploit? Can the OL deliver again? Can the D get pressure and force Lamar into bad decisions? Can they finally get a defensive score? Will our shaky kicker make all his kicks? They have to play a flawless game and force BMore to make some critical mistakes. That is one tall assed order. It’s going to be a fascinating game.
