The Chargers made a huge mistake by not rolling with the NFL punch when Inglewood was chosen.

Rams have gained the full credit as the first team back into LA since 1995. I listened to LA sports radio, and our Rams are sparking kids into wanting Todd Gurley jerseys. Old LA Rams fans that have hated them since they left in 1995, are now thrilled about them returning. I spoke to a jaded nominal LA Rams fan (he is cynical about the NFL and thinks the owners are prostitutes) that has recieved phone calls from old friends that he hasn't heard from in years, wanting to attend games at the Coliseum (currently, he plans to go to 3 of them)

I am assuming with the mammoth old LA Coliseum, there should be room for anyone who wants to go. I think if the Rams go to the playoffs in 2016 and the Chargers continue to decline, the Rams will be the Ruler of NFL football in LA...It's curious that the Chargers moved to San Dioego in the first place, because the Ram drove them out for the very same reason...lol ;)

Chargers made a huge blunder. Huge. Their only play is to stay in San Diego now.

No matter what, they would always be considered the second team to the Raiders/Rams.

I still don't get why a team would want to leave SD.

He should've never made a play against Stan last January. Then, Rams would be in LA and he would be working on a stadium in SD. Oakland would not be in the conversation.

Now, if he stays in San Diego it's possible the Raiders move to LA and if he goes to LA it's possible the Raiders go to SD.

No doubt. Spanos burned himslef. Yet, if he decided to work something out in San Diego, Davis would have to come up with $550 million relocation fee, and he doesn't have it. Plus, there is no way he afford half of Inglewood, so he would have to come as a tenant..Something he said he would never do...

Right. He's in no position to be an investor only a tenant.
I get the feeling he really believes the Disney Magic and truly thought Iger could waive a magic wand over Carson and a beautifull stadium would appear....

I thinks it's important that the Rams are in the L.A. Times as much as possible to really show who the big boys in town are.
Loved the Stan/Kevin interview in todays paper!
Now off to Vegas for the weekend!

Spanos played this entire Carson thing out as if he was making stuff up as he went along. Carmen Policy? What, Whitey Bulger wasn't available? San Diego is one of the great cities in the country. The population is huge. The county is huge. The NFL is looking to expand the "brand" to other countries - well, SD damn near is another country. The Charger-Raider partnership was bullcrap obviously borne out of too much overpriced scotch, little blue pills and scum bag "yes-man" advice. Raider fans and Charger fans regularly "try to kill each other." I am not making that up. It was never a serious alliance, and bordered on criminally negligent: "Hey Mr. Norteno, you cell up with Mr. Sureno. For life, ok?"

Spanos cried wolf. He's lost his leverage. Slapped by his boys 30-2. Now at best he's Stan's tenant (read: "biotch".) Ouch.

I"m pretty sure Spanos could still play in L.A. in 2016 if he makes his mind up pretty soon.

I gotta say if Fabiani's job was to humiliate Dean Spanos in front of his peers and the whole world, he did a heck of a job...
