could it be that sean fell a bit too in love with his very late in season foray into 12 personnel packages, a bit too in love thanks to the cowboys game? and a bit too in love with cj?

if so, he wasn't alone, one writer shouted that the rams oline was the best in history after the cowboys game, while more than a few trumpeted that cj was exactly what the rams needed to compliment their offense, and that cj had supplanted tg.

but since the cowboys game the rams running attack has been a complete wreck, while the 12 has done little to nothing to enhance the rams passing game, in fact i think it can be argued that it may have even sabotaged it by seemingly making it much more predictable.

all told, cj and tg combined for a very meager 3.0 yards per carry average post cowboys game while racking up a combined 57 yards against the saints and 54 yards against the pats.

was today's game a case of the rams not dancing with who they brought?

In the Dallas game to my eye, we ran all sorts of motions and had the Cowboys defense on their heels. I didnt see any of that versus the Saints or Pats, not sure why. What did we run one sweep against the Pats. I thought TG got his chances, if that phantom hold isnt called who knows what happens.

McVays failure was not running enough, especially the last drive. The running game was there to be had especially late in the game. Where have we heard this before (Martz arhg).

I just have to shake my head in discust.

I don't know what offense that was, and like @aeneas1 is saying, maybe McVay is a victim of his own success?
I just don't know where all the plays we are used to excel at went. Flanker/Bubble screens, late release screen to RB, TE crossing patterns, jet sweeps etc...
And no up tempo action, the staying in the huddle until clock hit 15 sec was nauseating.

Almost like McV was trying to fool BB. To break his own norms. Very unsuccessful ploy if that was the case.
