But also remember that there were a lot of tickets given out early to the Magic Johnsons of the world by the Rams and owners. They didn't provide access to all the seats for us, the fans.

So, 57k/73, looks like we're buying about 780 tickets each, or maybe i'm not accounting for everything...

That's right. There was a wave 0 but we have no idea how big it was...

Wave "0" was big. I was in the second time of wave 1 and there were so few seats left in the lower tier of 22 H (maybe 15 or so in my target of rows 25 - 43) that I couldn't take a chance and risk having my first alternate of 21 H disappear (although I gave subsequently learned my wave was small and I probably had more time than I thought).

I get the Magic Johnson/celebrity thing but I don't think there's going to be a whole big section of celebrity's behind the Rams bench.

Some tickets are off limits and the Rams keep them and give them to whoever they want. They give them away to families of the players and Rams staff memebers and their families as well.

If Roger Godell or Eric Grubman want to watch a game at the Coliseum, he's not going to buy tickets from StubHub.

It's like that in every stadium. I'm sure Kroenke has a lot of cousins and friends.

My cousin works for ' A make a wish foundation" and the Lakers give them a section of seats for games throughout the year when they do a good job.

I understand the tickets should go to players families but how many they get changes everything. My main concern goes to all the rich folks/businesses that know the right people that we given first opportunity at these tickets. That's they way of life I guess but still frustrated the crap out of me.

It's going to be the same way when Inglewood stadium comes around. The rich folks will get priority, while the ticketmaster and stub hubs of the world will clog the network lines to make a buck and the true fans will get sh!t seats or have to pay 2nd/3rd hand to get decent seats.

It's just the way of the world now regardless of sport or event. A lot of tickets these days are either held back for VIPs/sponsors or gobbled up by brokers flipping the tickets on StubHub. Sadly the good fans are getting pushed to the perimeters.

I had a conversation with one of the Rams reps about two weeks before they released the 1st wave. My impression was that she was pretty frank with me. I left that conversation guesstimating that they held back approximately 10K tickets for players families, NFL execs, etc....(Esentially Wave 0). I think they are also holding back a chunk of tickets for single ticket game sales. They probably also hold back a reserve, for whatever.

When we all went in to purchase seats I'm sure some of those red seats weren't actually sold yet, but instead represented some of the held back seats.

Season Ticket Sales (Waves 1-5) = 57,000 (Tweet from Rams Ticket Office)
Wave 0 + 10,000 (Guess explained above)
Wave 6 + 8,000 (I'm going to run with a guess from an earlier post in this blog).
Season Tickets Sold = 75,000

Stadium Capacity 80,000 (Wikipedia)

Seats Remaining for Single Game + Rams Reserve = 5,000

Exactly.

I was in wave 1 and the gold section was all sold out when I logged on.

I doubt it was "sold out".

I can actually confirm this, at least for my section. When I was in during the end of wave 3, there were 10 rows in my section that were all red or "sold out." A friend of mine was just in during wave 5 and showed me a screenshot of my section and only 5 of those 10 aforementioned rows were red. So, not all red seats are truly "sold out." I would've been more upset if I preferred seats in one of those 10 rows, but they were toward the top of the section. It could be they are holding back a small number of seats for upcoming waves to give more people an opportunity to get season tickets.
