I don't see anyway the opening will be as grand and exciting as it should be.
Also, I can only imagine how many people are going to default at the SSL's before even the first game is played... could be their worst nightmare and really have empty seats. I heard if someone defaults on their seat, it goes into legal hell and no one ends up getting the seat until it is sorted out.

the cowboys moved into their then state-of-the-art texas stadium in 1971 and played there for 38 years, until 2008 - texas stadium was demolished in 2010 (check out the twitter post below).

so when will sofi's days come to an end? when will it have run it's course? kind of hard to to imagine... assuming the same texas stadium timeline, sofi will be done in the year 2057, and demolished in 2059, don't think i'll be around to see it. :( :D :oops2:

I see it as a timeless design that will last. Reminds me of the Superdome in New Orleans. Look at how all these faux-brick places from the 90's and 00's look so dated. The Dump here in St. Louis and the Rangers old ballpark in Texas are examples. Even the Colts are grumbling about Lucas Oil which is 12 years old.

There are also other things about SoFi that blow other stadiums away. Nobody is gonna top it anywhere.

The only issue I see is the stadium inside an outer shell design presents some limitations. See how the Bears are hamstrung in Chicago with the Soldier Field.

Wasn't sure where to put this:
sounds like the NCAA is going to consider 2020 lost and will keep the schedule instead of pushing back a year.

This year the men's Final Four was supposed to be in Atlanta. Sounds like it "too bad, so sad" and this schedule will remain.
2021 Indianapolis Lucas Oil Stadium
2022 New Orleans Mercedes-Benz Superdome
2023 Houston NRG Stadium
2024 Phoenix State Farm Stadium
2025 San Antonio Alamodome
2026 Indianapolis Lucas Oil Stadium

So I assume the Rams could make a run at hosting the 2027 Final Four?

I love that he's using the fan-made logo instead of the doo-doo we're stuck with. I could actually get behind that logo.
