The town of San Diego and the fans there are irrelevant as far as this discussion is concerned. It's all about money for these people. And i for one don't feel bad for them...... they had their chance.

1. They are cutting into our potential LA market share.
2. They screwed over SD fan who didnt deserve that.
3. They are undercutting Rams established ticket / box pricing.

imo, the SD Chargers of LA need to get over themselves (Spanos) and go back home. Oh and take the Clippers with them...

First off,,, the league owners are a bunch of greedy money hungry billionaires idiots. The owners screwed up by giving Spanos what he wanted...

They didn't realize about the L.A. market, they were figuring the amount of people in this area, that it could fit two teams... but the L.A. market area wants a winner and a team with local history.....

They don't realize when the RAMs moved from L.A. to Orange county, that the RAMs lost a lot of local L.A. Fans during that time frame...

Plus 20yrs later, without a team, no RAM fans built up a fan base during that time frame,,, except for the local diehards...

Now the league owners are whispering behind close doors how can they get the Chargers back to SD because they are losing that revenue from SD while making nothing from the Charger being in L.A....

If LT said that they will be moving back to SD,,, I would take his word since he has a piece of the team...
But its going to be with another owner,,, some billionaire that has bucks to build his own stadium...… Maybe Steve Ballmer,,,
he could take the Clippers with him too... :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Where?

The only place the Chargers should go is back to San Diego.

I have to agree I think the only real way the NFL could pull off a move back is with a different owner or at the very least be willing to subsidize the move for x number of years.

the chargers are quietly keeping themselves in the postseason hunt, if the playoffs started today they would be the 5th seed in the afc.

they currently rank 5th in offensive scoring and 1st in offensive points allowed.

if they somehow reached the super bowl and won it this season, while the rams failed to reach the super bowl, would their l.a. following change?

Even with this kind of good fortune I am not fully convinced that Dean Spanos, could not find a way to piss all over it and turn it into misfortune.

I would say no,,,, cause these local fans really don't want some other team from another city....

What helped the RAMs,,,, they had a history here... with still a strong fan base already...

Plus right now,,, Spanos is not really doing much in advertising his team like what the RAMs are doing....

Look at that Monday night game,,,,, in what Stan Kroenke did,,, he made it about the Fans,,,, by giving out tickets to the community for the fire fighters and law enforcement and for fans that lose family members at the shooting near their practice field....

That game alone and what the RAMs did for the community would make plenty of people want to become a RAMs fan again...

Look at the towels they gave away,,,, "LA together", that slogan alone was about the fans...

What has Spano did for the community Nada,,, but his slogan,,, "Fight for L.A.",,,, that ain't happening... :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

But if by chance if the Chargers went to the Super Bowl,,,,,
It would be all of the other team fan base filling up the stadium in Atlanta.... :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

the reason they are billionaires is because they know what will happen years in advance. The Chargers are no surprise to them. They already have known, since before moving them to LA, whether they will move them again. Its all already planned out. They dont give a damn if the stands arent that full. Tv contracts ,commercial money, shared revenue, already covers that bill.
if ticket money mattered that much, Browns,Jaguars,Dolphins,Bucs,Lions,Jets would have folded years ago. the truth is, the wealthier you are, you dont even need to prove you have money anymore. all they have to do now is talk to the right people and punch a number into a computer screen with a $ next to it and say its theirs now.
you're right -the league owners are a bunch of greedy money hungry billionaires idiots.- but you still run up to the water bowl they give you and lap it up like a loyal poodle.
until you stop, they will always be -a bunch of greedy money hungry billionaires idiots.- damn good at it and damn proud of it.
