21st pick or lower - LA Rams

Well, the Rams are on a 3 game win streak. Everyone lost who needed to except the Packers who are currently up 14-3 on the Chiefs.

Next week I can’t see us beating the Ravens. So we could fall right back out of the WC depending on what the Seahawks, Packers, and Vikings do. I think we go on another 3 game win streak after the Ravens game should we lose that one. Which sets us up for a showdown possibly for the final wildcard against the whiners week 18.

Rams @ Ravens
Vikings @ Raiders
Seahawks @ whiners
Panthers @ Saints
Packers @ Giants
Bucs @ Falcons

We will have an 80+% chance of staying in the playoffs if we win 3 of our last 5 games. So pretty much in control of our own destiny.

We can't beat Baltimore? Can we? Boy, it sure would be huge.

Well, that was short-lived. Updated after Packers win. And ya, that loss to them looms larger every week. Ugh

Well, the Rams are on a 3 game win streak. Everyone lost who needed to except the Packers who beat the Chiefs and are now the 7seed

Next week I can’t see us beating the Ravens. So the 6 and 7 seed will start changing week to week depending on what the Seahawks, Packers, falcons, Saints and Vikings do. I think we go on another 3 game win streak after the Ravens game should we lose that one. Which sets us up for a showdown possibly for the final wildcard against the whiners week 18.

After the Packers win, the Rams somehow have to find a way to beat the Ravens and hope for a little help from the Giants. However, we technically can “afford” to lose 2 more games max to have an 80% chance of making the playoffs. Depends on those other teams, obviously.

We aren’t finishing ahead of GB given their extremely weak remaining schedule. Most people assume we will go 3-2. SEA likely loses to SF and PHI next 2 weeks. That would take care of them. So it’s MIN we have to pass. They have DET twice and GB. Probably need them to lose all 3.

One thing that would help is if SF is locked into a particular seed going into Week 17. That might mean resting or limiting starters.

The most certain path to a playoff spot is win out because we're tied with Green Bay, Minnesota and Seattle at 6-6 and the Packers play the Vikings in week 17, so a tie or a loss there puts us ahead. Of course the odds of winning out are miniscule so we have to hope for more losses by them. As you say, Green Bay has a cupcake schedule the rest of the way but they are young, so they could slip up a game or two. But Minnesota is the ideal team to pass. If they lose to Green Bay and once to Detroit, they are 9-8 at best with a conference record of 7-5. If we lose to Baltimore and SF and win the rest, we're 9-8 and 7-5 in the conference. But we'd lose out on the common opponents record (Philly, SF, Green Bay, N.Orleans, Cincinnati), even if we beat N.Orleans and they lose to Cincy (3-3 to 1-5). So we have to do better than 9-8 or they have to do worse. The problem they have is QB. Josh Dobbs? Or Jaren Hall? Or Nick Mullens? They need to lose one of their next two games @ Las Vegas or @ Cincinnati and then lose once to Detroit and Green Bay. 8-9 might do it. Of course an upset by the Rams vs either Baltimore or SF would go a long way. Either way, these kids are in a race and gaining valuable experience going forward.

EDITED ADTER SNF:
That ending sucked. And the Vikings win 3-0 at the end. The Rams playoff push depends on a 3 game win streak starting next week. Have to be 9-7 heading into the whiner game.

Well you got over that fast!! :D ;)

We're gonna make the playoffs. Minnesota isn't winning in Cincy, Detroit or Green Bay. Seattle isn't winning vs Philadelphia. And they might lose another game. N.Orleans, Atlanta and Tampa all have 7 losses so whichever teams don't win the division will probably have 9 losses.
