What I expect of Sean McVay is to fight tooth and nail for every blade of grass until the Rams are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

I do not expect McVay or anybody associated with the Rams to flush the 2022 season before we're even at the halfway mark.

Here's an idea. They like who they have and they're going to fight for every blade of grass until they're eliminated.

They like who they have relative to the asking price for who they were going after. The can’t possibly like who they have at OG. No fucking way. Hardy needs to get reps at edge soon. And if we lose against Tampa, I’d give McClutch a look too.

DO NOT CUT/RELEASE AKERS. Hold onto that fucking malcontent until you can get ANYTHING for him in a trade in the off season. Don’t do his ass any favors.

The defense drops off significantly without Donald.

We have to be realistic. We still have a foundation of a great squad. Take this time to get people healthy and retool next season and have another go.

What foundation? The O-line? Is there one viable star in that unit? Nope. Running backs? None. Tight ends? Higbee showed us what he is on Sunday. That cupboard is bare.

We have Stafford and Kupp. Matthew is going to get killed behind that line.

Regarding Cam Akers, his tactics, his Agent's advice/handling of Akers, etc etc etc

If I am the Rams, I don't do any favors for Akers and his Agent. Fuck them!

That limiting of Akers opportunities would send a signal.....Ram management treat our guys favorably....preferred landing spot in Tennessee for Robert Woods, big raises for Matthew Stafford, AD and Kupp, etc.....

but if you fuck with us and our team to the point where Havenstein has to call a players'-only meeting to "get rid of a cancer"......then we don't release Akers ass and keep him just hanging around idling away part of his prime years.
That word gets around NFL players and Agents really quick.

Like somebody else wrote.....trade him at the Draft next April.
Until then, Mr. Akers sits and rots. :|

Someone tell me why it makes any sense for AD to retire after signing a new deal and loving MCV, and being a highly competitive and motivated to win player who wants another chip? You think the Rams are going to fall off a cliff just suck for the foreseeable future?

I am actually concerned that we could be in for 2-3 down years based upon the lack of overall talent on the offense. You don't overhaul an entire offensive line in 1 offseason - look at the Bengals. We also need to spend capital on skill positions RB, TE, WR (assuming we don't get OBJ back). Oh, and we also need a pass rush. That does not come cheap.

In 2-3 years Stafford is 36-37, AD is 33-34. Everything has to go perfectly to pull this off in the current window.

Not that i can know but i tend to disagree. This stuff isn't that hard.

McVay came to town with Aaron Kromer, they didn't like the Oline, signed Whitworth and Sullivan, and boom, pretty good Oline.

Same with the WR core, didn't like what we had, drafted Kupp, traded for Woods and then Watkins and just like that, really good WR room.

Goff was looking like a bust but McVay had him playing at a pro bowl level week 1.

The Bengals Oline was crap last year and they made it to the SB.

I think if you have your QB and your coach, you can make a lot of stuff work. But the rest of this year and the next few to come are certainly gonna put that to the test...

They were sacked 12 times leading up to the Superbowl, in one a whopping 9. Then they were sacked 7 times by the Rams and were a FG short. 19 sacks in 4 postseason games with a 3-1 record. Yeah you can sometimes scheme around shortcomings.
