Seems to me 3 things are fact and evident.

1. Gurley had surgery to repair a knee and the typical arthritic condition in the repaired knee occurred.
2. Gurley's knee was injured several times last year. 1st vs Raiders, 2nd vs Chiefs, 3rd vs Eagles. Some worse than others but all surely contributed to his soreness late last season..
3. Gurley was deployed as much or more than any other RB, especially early on. Too much wear and tear could/would effect anyone.

Which occurrence was more contributory than the others is pure conjecture. Guess work.
No one knows the extent of anything other than the Rams / insiders and Gurley. They aren't really talking about it. And they probably aren't talking about it because it's not remarkable.

This may not make inquiring minds trying to have faith in our star running back feel comfortable, so my suggestion is to not worry about it anymore than the Rams appear to not be worrying about it.

um, no.

gaines simply stated the obvious, that anyone who has suffered a joint injury will have some sort of arthritic component, i.e. gurley joined that club before entering the nfl, not after game 1 of last year.

btw, wasn't this a henderson thread?

Well if it's any consolation, speaking from my own perspective on this, I have never worried about Gurley's contribution to 2019. My own view is that he ran well in 2018 and with managing it that will happen again in 2019. I've said all along you can manage what (I believe and argue) he has. I was never a doubter.

And enough from me in this thread.

My take wasn't aimed at you specifically. Just my $.02

I know. Just responding with a simple "in my case" thing. 2 cents for 2 cents.

"Overworked"?? That's just silly

No, that's not the "big discriminator", that's the big false narrative that gets regurgitated over and over

Just what are you trying to say here? That Henderson's knee is arthritic?????

That's just great!

Are those numbers for entire season or first half only?

Gurley had 201 touches in first 8 games in 2018, that’s 25.1 touches per game.

In contrast, Zeke had fewer than 20 touches per game in first 8 games.

I read somewhere Goff has an arthritic component in his elbow that flared up after the Detroit game and didn't get better until the niner game. :idea2:

I think I seen that too lol. The Henderson thread has turned into 11 pages of Gurley needs a leg transplant... again. This thread has lasted so long, now I read Henderson has arthritis too! Bummer
