Apparently we have more in common than just our L.A. Rams trash cans. I really don't like using emoticons either...

Wow! Tough game to watch last night. Dodgers make the Snakes SP(Anderson) look like Sandy Koufax (10K's 1hit 6innings). Until a miraculous return to "power small ball " with back to back bunts to lead off the eighth by Rollins and Torreyes(who???), followed by a double by Utley and a HR by kid Seager the Dodgers seemed to be on the ropes. Mattingly one again played a dangerous game of reliever russian roullette, by pulling Frias after maybe his most dominant four innings in his career. He got away with it. This time....

The Dodgers magic number is still #5!

Padres have put in a lot of help. Down to 3.

Love that they're sticking it to the Giants instead of us for once. Their division rivalries are often "their World Series" and they go to great lengths to piss in the Dodgers cereal. Maybe with the O'Malley's in charge, they are re-focusing those efforts to the Giants?

Giants won today. Dodgers losing. I think its just a matter of time. One more win coupled by one more loss by the Giants and the Dodgers clinch.

But the playoffs are a different animal. I don't see how the Dodgers can go deep with that bullpen. And after Kershaw/Greinke there's a huge drop off. The 3-4-5 starters are easily capable of giving up big innings early. Anderson gave up 4 runs in the first today. 5 runs and 8 hits in the first two innings.

On top of that, it seems like all opposing pitchers gotta do is keep the Dodger hitters in the park and there's a good chance of a shut out. They don't have a good formula for winning in the playoffs. I know its just a matter of who gets hot at the right time. But I ain't liking the Dodgers chances.

Its gonna be tough to win in sf. Greinke was their best chance. Bumgartner will cancel out Kershaw tomorrow. So it'll be up to whoever goes the next two. And it won't be easy. Dodgers can't score in ATT Park. Its hard to hit HR's there and they don't score if they don hit HR's. I'm actually expecting a 4 game sweep. Unless Kershaw throws a shutout. And that might result in extra innings.

Dodger need to take two out of 3 against the Padres this weekend. And you know the Padres will treat it like their world series.

Is anyone really surprised that the Dodgers can't close it out? As Ron White would say: This team's got a looooot of quit in 'em. Have they even won an extra innings game this year?

I think Vin said it best. Good isn't good enough when great is expected. This team continues to disappoint and is built to lose in the post season.

For a team one game from clinching they seem to be underwhelming. I think its a mistake to pitch Kershaw tonight. He could pitch a 9 inning shutout and they could lose in extra innings. They can't score in that park. And pitching against Bumgarner is just a lesson in futility. Save Kershaw for a pitcher they might score a run on.

I think the final series against the Padres is looming big.

You guys (Snack and Mokler) are ridiculously pessimistic. They will win a game in SF and end it.

And by the way - the Dodgers are favored in the game tonight.

I agree. Great game last night. We didn't lose for lack of effort. Both teams brought it. Was fun to watch. Jansen will lock it down for the Azul in AT&T Park.
