That seems fair. They are making gobs of money and could certainly afford it.
Some team owners might prefer to privately fund so the sharing portions might get a little complicated. Also league funding to replace older stadiums could really add up.
No doubt the municipalities and/or taxpayers should not be on the hook for construction costs. We already pay at the gate.

just wow. does this end the NFL part too? in other words is this crap over?

$790m plus all the money they didn't spend to keep the Dome top tier, I'd say StL got away with it.

790 million, what a riot.

Well, time to lock this thread up and get back to McVay's tired offense

Lock it. Start a new thread about Stan vs the NFL.

The Rams are still in Los Angeles.
Stan Kroenke still increased his wealth by moving the team to Los Angeles.
St. Louis still does not have a team.
There are a lot of lawyers who made a lot of money on this case.
None of this will impact the Rams' fortunes this year or in the future.

The failed Riverfront stadium wasn't adequately funded and was obviously a last ditch attempt to block the Rams movement. At that point it was fairly obvious ESK was over it. Not so sure Peacock or Blitz should have bothered. They sure went down swinging though.
Bottom line is that StL snoozed on their contractually agreed obligations and gave ESK control. Everything else happened (and was spent) afterwards. That was their choice and they should have realized the potential for failure at that point.
The vitriol should also be focused at the sports authority who lost the control.

I dont have a dog in this fight at all, but I know the development business as I have been involved in for 30+ years. ESK was going to move the team no matter what STL did, he didnt buy that land without the intent of moving the team. Now he has the right to move the team, it just did it in a fairly underhanded way which is validated by the 790 million.
