Upshaw is a big guy but he needs work. My guess is he's a project for down the road. I do like Nance's hustle. I think he's got a chance to stick with the team. Russell definitely has skills, but they're still pretty raw. Its gonna take time. Clarkson picked up where he left off last season. I think he's gonna be pretty good. As far as the first game, Okafor looked ready to step in and be a starter from day one. I hope they made the right choice with Russell. Okafor's got some skill for a big man. Russell was they guy I wanted to see. He didn't exactly dazzle and take over out there. But he had his moments. I'm hoping he improves as the summer progresses. He's definitely got the potential. It make take more than a year though. by Hacksaw 9 years 11 months ago Total posts: 24523 Joined: Apr 15 2015 AT THE BEACH Moderator Re: The Lakers POST #82 TOPIC AUTHOR I like the Upshaw find due to his up side. If the Lakers can get him to keep his nose clean (tough job in the NBA) he could be a great back up center behind Hibbert. Pair them and our big back line is back.
