Not trying to nitpick you, but what we do know is that the Rams were one play away from taking the lead. If they scored quickly, there was plenty of time for the Eagles to come back and win.

There's no doubt that the Rams performance was impressive, particularly when weighed against the NFC championship game and the Super Bowl. But it's a stretch to figure the Rams would have gone on to win it all. Every game is different in the NFL. You just don't know what's going to happen.

The Eagles would have had 26 seconds if the Rams had scored on 4th down. If they scored on third, the Eagles would have had about one minute.

If we get a first down, then score, the Eagles would have had virtually no time.

That’s not “plenty of time.”

Yep. If Rams had scored on the 3rd down Carter got the sack, Eagles would've had about a minute needing a FG.

Definitely not a lock Rams win in that situation, not by any stretch...

You moved the goal post. You specifically said the Rams were "one play" away from winning. And now you are talking about multiple plays.

If they scored on the one play, like you said, the Eagles would have a minute with timeouts. Plenty of time for a field goal.

Whatever. You are absolutely nitpicking. Not sure why you seem to have a compulsion to downplay the Rams’ effort. They were the only team that challenged the Eagles in the playoffs. Period. End of story.

The Rams have money. Stafford wants more. The Rams will probably give it to him... unless they don't.

I kind of found it a “duh” article. It certainly didn’t shed any new light other than the obvious stuff most Ram fans already know. Kind of lazy journalism if you ask me.

is this a trade without Stafford's consent? Or maybe a rumor floated for attention?

This just in ....
"Sources close to the Rams front office indicate that the team is in serious discussions to trade Matthew Stafford to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for Desmond Ridder, a second-round pick, and future draft considerations. Insiders suggest the move is driven by concerns over Stafford’s long-term durability, as well as a desire to reset the team's salary cap situation. While no official confirmation has been made, multiple league executives believe a deal could be finalized before the NFL Draft."

I asked ChatGPT for a false rumor about Stafford .... just about as credible as most anything on the internet ... until it isn't.
