If the Rams somehow make the playoffs, let's not forget this crazy, ridiculous, terrible MNF game that may very well have helped get them there...

Basically, as of now it’s a 7 team race for the last 2 WC spots and for the NFC South title. Vikings, Seahawks, Packers, Rams, Saints, Falcons, and Bucs are all fighting for the playoffs. One of the South teams will win the division. The other two are in the hunt with us and the rest.

So, those are the teams to watch as we move forward. Seattle is in trouble as PA laid out in another post. They have a brutal schedule the next 3 weeks - Cowboys, Niners, Eagles. The Vikings just lost to the Bears. Next are the Raiders and Bengals.

So week to week we go. As of now, we have a 40% chance of making the playoffs (it was under 15% before the AZ game). If we beat the Browns it jumps to 52% not factoring another games.

Chiefs at Packers
Lions at Saints
Seahawks at Cowboys
Falcons at Jets

If we beat the Browns, the Packers, Saints, shehawks all lose and the Falcons win, we jump to the 6th or 7th seed but stay at 53% chance of staying in the playoffs. All according to the simulator.

These guys are learning how to win AZ is and has been the perfect elixir for the Rams as of late. I hope they come out and hammer the Browns. The Ravens are a really good team. But they are beatable. One week at a time. As MCV says, just keep getting better.

I figure Cleveland is similar to Seattle, Rams can beat them, doesn't mean they will though but i'll be there to find out...

ramsman34 wrote:I agree. A step further - they need to have a consistent lineup while working some of the TEs into the mix; Allen and Hall. If Kupp can’t go, I want to see more DRob and Trammel so Staff can create more chemistry with both. The OL and MCV using more 12P should help the passing game from an alleviating pressure standpoint.

I hope he runs the ball more bc Staff is pretty damn good off play-action.

Well it all worked against the cards, but the cards dont seem to have a great pass rush or run defense. But I liked finally using more TE's and getting the ball to Tutu (always open). Play calling was very good except for the run on 2nd and 11. Give Stafford two opps to get a first down.

Last week ended well with a Minnesota loss. This week began well with a Seattle loss.

The Pittsburgh and Green Bay games may haunt us this year as we make a push to be in the playoffs.

Love the McVay and Snead leadership, but the failure to acquire a solid kicker leading to the acquisition of Maher who missed 2 FG's against Pittsburgh looms BIG. Not having a veteran back-up QB and having to use Rypien in a start against the Packers in a very winnable game also looms large.

2023 was always going to be a transition year but the inability to acquire a solid kicker and back-up QB by Snead just might prevent us from making the playoffs. I hope not, but can you imagine the Rams at 7-4 right now? With the low expectations from all of the "so-called" NFL pundits at the start of the year to a 7-4 record through 11 games...the Rams would be the talk of the NFL.

Gotta keep stacking wins and it starts Sunday against the Browns.
