That was PA's post. But yeah, I could see Herman doing that. He never has accidents in the house. Because its on purpose when he gets pissed. :lol2:

Was thinking that a bit too. Makes sense. And kick returns are almost non existent and having less impact than ever. PRs still somewhat volatile.

I totally missed this, Rams signed Maher to 53 on Tuesday, guess he passed the audition, and by signing after week 1 his salary is not fully guaranteed.

QFTOS, SF 1 Pregame Edition:
If we win, the post game quotes will be on the front page.
O-Line play will determine this game. Can we protect Purdy and run the ball?

The Rams and Seahawks game didn't go as any of us would have thought. I'm not quite sure how the Rams were able to manufacture points. But what was obvious was the Donald is back from injury and still a menace. But we know who will show up to Levi's South. This will be a defacto home game with white jerseys.

The Rams rookie WR Puka Nacus look like a late rd steal yesterday in his debut. If this guy is good and teams with Kupp when he comes off IR, McVay's bunch will be a problem all season long. CB after is the defense most obvious weakness so they can be had against the better WRs in this league.

Why are people surprised the Rams won? You could see it a mile away that Seattle might take a step back. Genie Smith mediocre and over achieved last year. Stafford is still great and exposed them

Need to protect Purdy, cause Donald looks like his old self, I hope we can block him long enough to find BA, Deebo, Kittle, Jauan, CMC, etc.

our defense dominate like they did yesterday, gonna be a good game, but gotta get after Stafford, no Kupp, but Tutu Atwell, Van Jefferson, and Nacua look good at WR for them, and Higbee is a good TE.

Honestly the Rams always have Seattles number.

Hopefully Brock doesn't squeal like Geno and the rest of us seeing Donald coming unblocked

Don't want to overstate but a win against Rams puts the other NFC West teams in an early hole.

Rams are going to be tougher than people think.

That said 9ers should be able to win this one.

McVay knows how to attack the Oline and very familiar with what KS tries to do.

Look for Deebo and Kittle to have a big day.

oh no we are playing the lambs, me so scurred
I predict 6 sacks this game for our d line.

Week 2 Home opener. LFG!

Niner fans are going to keep flooding stadiums, especially our home stadium in LA. It's beautiful. LETS. GO. NINERS! Purdy chants will be awesome

I'm just loving this team it's like we have a Pro Bowl squad on both sides of the football. I wonder where it ranks among all time great niner teams ?

Better not sleep on the Rams. Seattle did for sure.

I think Purdy is going to burn the Rams defense to a crisp. Wilks defense is going to cause a lot of turnovers because Stafford can't get away from the 49er pass rush anymore. 49ers by a mile and a half.

Week 1 is weird. I feel like Seahawks over achieved last season tho, I wasn't buying all the off season hype. Same token, I don't believe Rams are utter crap either.

Geno Smith played like the backup he is. I can't believe the She Hawks went with this guy.

Both Jones and him showed why paying for mediocrity isn't worth it.

Do the Rams actually have any fans? I was convinced they were all paid actors. With the writers strike going on, having the robots during the Chargers game makes sense now. I expect to see the same for the Rams tomorrow

at least St.Louis supported them during the Greatest show on turf days, with them back in LA it seemed like everyone forgot about their Super Bowl win 30 seconds after the fact.
Its a Laker and Dodger loving base. Rams are in the friendzone.

Niners better win tomorrow given the talent disparity...

Stafford is legit but he has always struggled with mobility so if we get any pressure we should be fine. I think Stafford is going to live in shotgun tomorrow which should make their offense completely 1 dimensional

The Rams are a complete unknown at this point but lack of experience against a shanahan offense is going to be rough on them too. i forsee a lot of miscommunication on their part.

Honestly the only way I see this game getting close is if somehow their OL is able to actually keep our pass rush at bay and Stafford makes some crazy throws into windows that cannot be defended and Aaron Donald absolutely wrecks our OL.

One more day till a lamb chop feast!

Only way we lose this game is if our defense doesn't play well, because our O is gonna light up their D.
but since we are about to have a historically awesome D line - I'm not worried. Bout to beat down Stafford like bane did to Batman.

LA Times had an article LA's fan base weak since they were gone 2 decades. I was born in LA but lifelong Niner fan since the 80s. Going to my first game at SoFi and Can't WAIT to see the Sea of Red! I think the largest fanbase in LA are for the Raiders.

That fired me up. Let's beat the brakes off them clowns !!!!!

According to the experts,

The NFC, 9ers, Eagles & Cowgirls were on the top rankings in the league .

While the RAMs were in the bottom five before week one.

Going into week 2,

the RAMs moved up in rankings but still are being looked at on the bottom 10

If we win,

will the experts move us up from the bottom 10 rankings into the top 10

How I feel, if we win, or we lose a close game,

Then I'll know we will be a playoff team,

while gaining experience as the season goes on for our younger players,

it will only give us more confidence going into the playoffs.

My assessment After watching the first game.

I'm comparing our 2023 team vs our 2021 SB team from the beginning of the season

Offense:

I feel our 2023 OL is better and deeper then our 2021 season.

Whit was the best on the OL, but we upgraded in the middle with both G & C,
So that makes it better as a whole.

QB/same

TE/same

RB/ upgraded with Cam Akers

WR/ I say we upgraded with the addition of Puka,

and the experience of Tutu and Jefferson after two years.

And we still have Kupp coming back.

ST:

P/K/LS/ same

Defense:

DL: We still have AD and he makes everyone around him better,
So can B. Brown, Turner & Brown IV, hold up the middle?
I say so far its a split from the 2021 season.

OLB: So far Young is showing he could be special as Floyd playing next to AD,
we still have other young OLB in Mathis waiting for him to come out of the IR.
So I'll call this a split.

ILB: Upgraded/moved into starting role/Jones gained exp

DB:
CB: Yes we lost a shut down CB in Ramsey,
but I feel we upgraded as a whole,
with the addition of Durant, Kendrick, Witherspoon, & Tomlinson
S: I feel we upgraded there too. With Fuller, Yeast, Johnson & Lake

I'm convinced that our offensive is better,
our ST is the same,
and our Defense is still yet to be determined,
but not far behind from the 2021 team. IMO

I expected us to start 0-3 and no better than 1-4 the first five games. As a fan, and as much as I hate the 49ers, I feel no pressure with this one. It feels like we're playing with house money. We lose, well, everyone expected it. We move on with maybe a better team than expected. But if we win, that changes the whole narrative. And starts putting doubt in everyone's mind about one team being the dominant one. We have nothing to lose this game. No reason to play conservative. Go balls to the wall on both sides of the ball. Be aggressive.
