So much for that "trap game".

On one hand I can see his disgust with the offense. Take away the 3 drives that started inside Giants territory (12 yd line, 14 yd line, 49 yard line) and the game is 17-11 Rams, very similar to last year. On the other hand, they took advantage of the opportunities our defense gave them.

With the win, we are one of six teams in the NFC with less than 3 losses. To have a 2 game cushion after 6 weeks is pretty good. Now they have to clean up some stuff and catch Arizona for the division lead. I watched a good deal of the Arz/Cleve game and they are good but certainly beatable. Cleveland, like SF, contained Murray with their rush (6 yards on 7 attempts; albeit 2 or 3 were fumbled snaps). Let's see where things stand at the end of November. I think we'll be in a better position IMHO.

I was wrong.

Largest halftime lead (25 pts) we've had since 2017 @ Seattle (34 pts). In 4+ years under McVay, we've led at the half 41 times (including 2 postseason games) and we're 41-0. We've been tied at the half 9 times going 3-6. We've trailed at the half 26 times (7-19). So, we've won 10 of 35 games we didn't lead at the half.

Since leading Seattle in 2017 by 34 at the half, we have led by 20 or more just 3 times, including yesterday. 21 over SF in week 17, 2018. 20 over Arizona in week 13, 2019. And the Giants by 25.

Largest deficits overcome?
(-8) Week 3, 2017 @ Dallas, (-4) week 5, 2021 @ Seattle, (-3) three times (@Oakland week 1, 2018, -3 @N.Orleans NFCCG 2018, @ Cleveland, week 3, 2019).

So the plan is, don't trail at the half !!!

My takeaway was how key it was that the Rams played well in the Red Zone. Had they kicked FGs in those situations (as has happened in the past at times), they could have entered the half only up 16-3, which would have given the Giants hope of making it a game in the second half.

Definitely becoming a haves and have-nots situation in the NFC.

One thing about this game that could have real ramifications going forward is that Noteboom played 19 snaps at LOT. This is when they had a commanding lead obviously but still, to my admittedly less than focused eye he seemed to have played pretty well. The knock last year was his run blocking and he seemed to be coming through in that dept.

If both he and Allen deliver, than the Rams will benefit. Next year they will probably lose Whitworth and at the same time Allen, Noteboom, and Corbett are all FAs. Signing guys they already have is far less of a problem then finding guys they don’t have, and that’s especially the case at LOT, a position that is notoriously hard to replace (good LOTs are seldom found after round 1 and just as rarely show up in free agency).

So if they have their future center and LOT already on the roster, that’s huge.

About to make the Lions game thread.....

....but OMG what a fantastic fun game this was in NYC.

I saw a lot of things in Stafford that I didn't see or recognize at the Bucs game. On the early pass to Kupp, from my end zone seats behind Stafford, it looked like to me that he was directly throwing the ball to two Giants D guys. Then Kupp caught it, and I am like damn.

that was good.

anyway....me at the game just after the Rams took a knee.

On we go. Go Rams!!!

also...that is the t-shirt I bought at the Oxnard practice in 2015. Before we came home. :D

Beeeutiful, , shirt ;)

QFTOS: RAMS @ GIANTS, Post Game Edition;

no matter what the score is they need play with pride and energy and make sure when the Rams leave Sunday night they feel this game and still feel it come Wednesday

a real ugly one

This game is pretty much over already.

9 seconds Stafford had that ball. 9 effing seconds.

Donald - quick penetration.
LW takes 4 seconds to get to the QB

2 gift TDs 21-3 in first half! PLAY THE SEASON FOR THE DRAFT!

Online just being eaten alive

Mahomes would be losing this game

Just give up Giants, you pathetic losers.

I hate to be the guy that keeps reminding people that the 16-33 Giants are playing a team that traded their QB because they believe that upgrade is the difference between them winning a Super Bowl or not.

Giants doing a nice job getting the fans pumped for the halftime celebration.

I don't think the fans should stay past the end of the 2nd quarter.

Going to watch the second half and I no idea what to root for?
How many points the Rams score?
Who gets fired after this game?
This is really close to rock bottom

I cannot believe that crap!!!

Daniel Jones is trash

Oh good. Another pick

That was the worst INT I think I've ever seen.

there's no point playing Stafford

You get an interception! You get an interception! ALL THE RAMS GET AN INTERCEPTION!!!!

Rapp is going to be special. Both times he left his responsibility and guessed correct on the route concept (Running to a spot, not to a receiver) before the ball leaves the QBs hand.
That's special DB play right there that you cannot teach. I see why they play him in the rover role now.

Jones is a turnover away from tying the all time record of turnovers by a quarterback in a game.

I don't think there is an owner and fan base as stupid as this one. He better hope BB takes him in from the cold.

Giants never had a shot today. There is nothing Judge could have done.

Leonard Williams’ comments on boos … will not be well-received by fans. The gist of it: The boos bothered him.

Well this was entertaining...the comments not the game

Who are these fans that spend money going to that horrible stadium to watch the pathetic NY Giants?...did they all win the lottery while becoming incredibly dumb?

Wow even vs prevent they stalled

Welp that sucked... We are the worst team in the NFL.

Well, if that wasn’t fun, now I have bills to pay and prep for a colonoscopy

This game was brutal. I'm glad it's over.

Those Giants fans obviously are very efficient at emptying the stadium in a hurry!!! Looks like a couple hundred occupied seats left!!!
