My seats are Lower End Zone 123. Is that the same side?
We have a private driver, costs more but we're splitting it between 2 couples. We prefer the guaranteed ride both ways. Our seats are on the NE corner of the stadium, you're on the South SE side. So we're quite a bit apart :cry2:

We can wander over to the other side earlier before the game starts. I want to walk around the whole stadium anyway. :D

I know this might be off topic for another thread, but I'm just totally disheartened by the partial collapse of Uber/Lyft. Especially in places like Chicago they killed the cabs off before COVID and now there's a lot fewer options when traveling. $60, 80 or more one way rides and long waits. Or just no vehicles.

I've still got my reservations for the 11/7 Rams/Titans game but I'm this close to cancelling.

My wife drove for Uber and Lyft since '16. She stopped driving because of covid concerns. I think a LOT of the collapse is due to the Govt. throwing tax free unemployment money around like candy. That has just changed as of Sept. 4. I expect we will start to see a return of drivers. I'm pretty sure the surge charges are based on supply and demand. Less drivers have made it more expensive. Example... pre-covid a trip to my local pub was $6-8 with no more than a 6 minute wait. Since mid 2020 it is now $9-24 with 30 min waits at times. When we Uber'd at the coliseum after a game pre covid rates were also insane. Just the way it is I think in a high volume area like a concert or game venue.

I think it’s silly to cancel a trip because of the always unstable Uber/Lyft issue. It’s the gig economy and all the rules and politics haven’t been worked out.

There are tons of ways in and out of SOFI, including just walking. It’s really not that dramatic. Yes, if you need to be someplace exactly 30 minutes after a game— SOFI is not for you. But, if you’re a fan, it’s really no worst than any other new stadium working out kinks.

Plus RAMs fans are great. Is kinda fun hanging out waiting for the metro rail bus with other fans. You’ll talk about the game and it’ll be okay.

Sorry if you think I'm a wuss and being dramatic. I wouldn't be stressing if it was just myself or me and my buddies. Our planned trip involves kids under 10 so walking 3 miles each way down W Century is not ideal.

I've been to lot of other arenas and stadiums so I know the game. Some places are quick in and out. Others have direct or nearly direct public transportation. Others have hotels within walking distance. And others are traffic hellholes where you budget 2 hours on each side.

I'm just starting to think that maybe waiting another season for a trip to LA might be safe way to go. We're now talking about that 12/26 Rams/Vikings game in Minnesota because the Blues are playing the Wild in the Winter Classic on New Years Day.

They ended the extended benefit here the earliest they could (in May) and that hasn't helped any.

For example pre COVID Uber/Lyft to a Cardinals or Blues game for me used to be $20ish to and $30 from plus quick pickups. Now they're $40-60 and 15 -30 minute waits. And on weekends it just says no vehicles available.

Chicago is even worse because they had a rash of crimes against drivers to add to the COVID shortage.

Up to you. I think the metro is fine with kids. But again, I don’t have young kids and I don’t have your kids. I know some can get antsy and I can imagine a Uber or car is the best, most private way to travel.

I will say that SOFI is different in that it’s not an island stadium where all you get is the stadium. There’s a “public” park and lake attached to it. Walk the park! It’s pretty and peaceful. On game days, it seems there will be the standard LA cart hot dog vendors there.

Also, just outside of the large parking area around SOFI are safe shops, like Target and a Starbucks and a fried chicken place. So it’s not south central LA. Heck even an Indian casino if that’s your thing (not with kids)

Anyway, I think it’s right to complain about parking, and Uber, and all that so they get it perfect. But it’s also not unmanageably bad.

I'm sure there are a lot of factors involved but i never have or have had any problem getting a grubhub/uber eats/instacart driver so i think at least one of the factors is a lot of drivers went into food delivery and i'd guess Uber/Lyft demand is still less than pre-Covid. Doesn't help anyone right now but i imagine this will sort itself out over time...

I know the area pretty well and my kids are used to buses, trains etc. But is there a public transport gameday option from an LAX area hotel (Embassy Suites) to SoFi
