With all the media piling on about how the Saints got robbed, I knew I could count on Cowherd to take the opposite view.
He is correct whether he believes it or not...

it seems like most of the ex players who are asked about the non call say the Saints shouldn't have put themselves in that position. also they pointed out how the Saints got away with a lot of non calls.

If the same thing happened to the Rams most Rams fans wouldn't listen to that. Saints fans and most non-Rams fans aren't either, and are just going to think what they want. But controversial calls (or non-calls) at the end of games define games for people. So what? We know what the Rams did in that game, and we know the Saints had a chance to win and didn't. All we can do is shrug and wait for the time when the McVay Rams show more (which they will across the years) until it reaches the point where the non-call controversy just starts to mean less.

if this "no-call" gets called then it's rams 1st & 10 at the saints 1 with 6 minutes remaining down 17-20... instead the rams had to settle for 3 and make it a 20-20 game... yeah, the saints got robbed, ha ha...

Also, what you don't see in this clip is Stallworth kicking Goff in the ribs and arm right after. Also not called. Not exactly sure how much force was applied, doesn't change the fact that it happened, and the refs ignored it.

Considering this has been called the worst call in NFL history, I don't think it's going away.

As far as the Goff facemask non call, at least it's debatable. The Saints defender definitely touched the facemask but he didn't grasp it at all. Could have been called but it's understandable why they didn't consider it a personal foul. It isn't understandable why they didn't call the PI Coleman.
