Amazing

I think that's a misreading of today's news but the chances are certainly better knowing he signed an extension already.

But why haven't the Rams announced it?

Right? They obviously didn't announce it because of the scoreboard. Everything makes sense now. ESK really gave Fish a lot of rope. But the way Fish coached, I wouldn't be surprised if Stan doesn't sting him up with it.

This exit contract sounds odd. Is it a negotiated severance? Why do that so early in the season?
I would say they agreed to a deal at around 3-1. But why wasn't it announced? Seems odd.
It was a good thing they didn't until "The Leak" ..

Not only that, I don't think Turner really holds up to scrutiny. I realize most are only considering if he's the OC but I think it bears mentioning that Turner's W/L record is even worse than Fisher's. At .483, Turner is not a good HC and I don't think I'd want him as OC, just one step away from taking over.

Just because you're the OC is no guarantee you're taking over. Pat Shurmur is the Vikings' OC, and has head coaching experience. But when the Vikings needed a substitute HC on game day, they handed it to the special teams coordinator. If you don't want the OC taking over, he's not taking over.

True, but I never said it was a guarantee. History shows it is Turner's M.O., though. I wouldn't be surprised if it had something to do with him up and quitting on the Vikings.

No, no, no! I do not want Norv Turner. He's the only non-Rams coach I've suffered through listening to all of my Charger fan friends. Fuck. They were so happy when he was fired.

Fisher was supposed to be the answer to Spags failing. Now we are here with Fisher failing. Don't need a repeat.

Norv Turner reminds me of the Al Saunders situation
Thought it was a good move when Linehan brought in Saunders to take over the offense.
But the move didn't work, the Rams started 0-4, the offense still sucked and Linehan was fired
I don't want Fisher back but if he does come back I'd hate to see a repeat of that....

And to think that when they fired Jack Pardee, Kevin Gilbride went with him. Don't know if Fisher had a choice or not, but man that guy was a great OC
