IMO Kupp isnt dynamic anymore, he gets zero separation. Clearly McVay wants more athleticism ala signing Tutu to big money.

Rumor has it that the highest-paid non-QB is lobbying for A. Rogers. What a hoot that would turn out to be.

name another player who went from elite to garbage due to injury that wasnt career ending? The CK contract has to go down as one of the worst in history either due to bad judgement or bad luck.

The whole league knows, that the Rams know hes done and his contribution will nowhere match what they have to pay him and they just want the $ off their books. So what team would want to take that? Imagine if no one wants him, even for just 1 6th Rd pick? Do Rams then cut him?

yep

The math game is can the Rams trade him and eat in a trade basically the same amount of the cap hit/cost if they release him?

Might as well do that and get any pick over an outright release. If released, I don’t think he will factor in the comp pick formula as he isn’t a true UFA. Anyone correct me if I am wrong in that.

To get comp picks, he has to becoming off the RAMs as a FA, not cut

The latest has the Jags thinking about Kupp, which makes sense because of Coen and Gladstone. If they could get a 5th round pick, the Rams should grab it. The Jags pick #143, the 4th pick in the 5th round, a round they don't have a pick in.

If the Jags want the Rams to eat part of the money, then it could be the 4th round where the Jags have 2 picks. #106 which is the 5th pick in the fourth round would be very sweet. That could get them their next TE or RT.

Yep, as I thought. All the more reason to eat some of his contract to trade him as opposed to the cap hit/cash lost to release him, if the number is the same/similar.
