We have no idea what the front office is thinking. Can they be a contender without Ramsey? Can what they get in return make them better? Maybe in the long term. But I don't think so in the short term.

If they think they can field a contender trading him would be a mistake. But do they look at it that way? If they don't think they can contend then maybe its best to start the rebuild and trade him for more draft assets.

I personally think they have to try and be a contender. High end quarterbacks are hard to come by. They have a proven winner now but he's only got so many years left. Going into rebuild mode would feel like they're wasting their best shot. By the time they're ready to contend he'll be in his twilight years and may not be as physically capable as he is now.

Calling my shot - Ramsey restructures, he ain’t goin anywhere. Rams get cap relief and continuity to kick the can down the road.

No way MCV didn’t have roster and cap conversations before he decided to keep coaching. NO EFFIN WAY. So I’m certain he said we need to make the cap moves now to retain our core, get some immediate cap relieve and sign the right FAs/draft like never before so we can be SB contenders NOW.

I see a Ramsey restructure > trade to accomplish the above.

JNO as always.

Could open up a LOT of cap space if we hire the fathers of Ramsey, Donald, Kupp and Stafford as very highly paid assistant coaches and reduce the above's contracts.

Ramsey to the Cowboys gaining steam. How you feel about that?

Trading him to a contender we might face. I don’t know about that.

You give them Ramsey Parsons and Diggs. They already have a great offense.

What are we doing? We get our first round pick back. Are we packaging the Dallas pick and other capital to move up and really make a splash?

Bryce Young Cj Stroud Bijan Robinson Michael Mayer Jalen Carter Will Anderson the tackle from Ohio State? Harris? What is this pick? We get a second round pick from Dallas. They gotta pay him.

Interesting cause Ramsey said he would never play for the Joneses. Doesn’t he have a no trade clause????

Thoughts?????

Ian Rapoport provided an update on the matter during NFL Network’s combine coverage, sharing what the Rams might be able to get for Ramsey, as well as the timeline for this to play out.

According to Rapoport, the Rams have had talks with teams in the last few weeks and he believes they could get as much as a first-round pick. Rapoport believes it will get sorted out prior to free agency, too.

“The Los Angeles Rams really have had conversations over the last couple of weeks as they look to maybe trim some payroll and reallocate some resources,” Rapoport said. “I know they’ve had some interest in Jalen Ramsey. We’ll see if he ends up getting traded. As far as what that price could look like, it might even be a first-rounder. Certainly something that the Los Angeles Rams at least would consider. Is going to play out probably prior to free agency.”

I feel like this could be one of the main reason for trading Ramsey. Instead of extending Ramsey, the Rams are trying to get allocate some cheaper talent via the draft to help the overall team. IMO they want to add young pass rush talent.

Do you think any talent we get in the draft will replace what we get with Ramsey?

Well if Ramsey wants to stay here bad enough perhaps he'll reconsider his contract.

The only thing I could find about Dallas and Ramsey was Skip Bayless's wishful thinking on Undisputed. What else have you heard?
