IF the Raiders are serious about trading for Stafford, do you think Matt and Tom "accidently" encountered each other at a ski resort in the same way he and McVay happened to vacation in Cabo the same day? Anyway I digress....rumor is they will trade the #6 pick for Stafford and the #26 pick.

If that is all we would get, a swap of 1st round picks I would be very disappointed.
IMO a 1st, a 2nd and a future 3rd (no swaps) seems more realistic.
Several days back someone on the radio mentioned recent years hauls for top 10 QB's in trades and it was amazing...
1 example was deshawn watson returning 2 1sts, 2 2nds, and a 3rd (not 100% sure on accuracy, but it had me thinking at the time we should get good return IF we allowed a trade.
Sure he's older, but proven.
Rams don't HAVE to trade him right?

I think I would want more then the 6th pick in exchange for the #26th pick and Stafford, maybe a 3rd or 4th as well. Prolly just me.

I would only want the Raiders 1st round pick number 6 for Matthew Stafford.

A top 10 pick especially just outside the top 5 is normally worth 3 first round picks. It's a steal for both sides if all they do is exchange picks. If they take Kupp that is worth a 4th round pick as well.

LOL this is getting fun. What a let down if he isn't traded. :lol2:

Talked to a family member (they are from LA) who said just before they left Vegas and the word is that the Raiders have agreed in principal to a contract structure and have forwarded to the Rams their trade proposal. So everyone there is waiting for the Rams to accept or propose modifications. I asked how many drinks did the guy at the bar have? He laughed and said it was on the TV and a sportscaster was quoting the Raider beat writer.

The Rams will probably take the weekend to think it over and either accept or counter. Unless it's absolutely ludicrous I don't see them flatly saying no. I think the real motivator is that Stafford would be in the AFC. There was no word on Kupp but rumors (again) have him in Miami. I don't really think that he is and its more hope than reality. If Kupp can stay with Stafford he will if Vegas wants him too. A number 6 pick gets them pretty much any player they want. They could even trade #6 back a few spots and pick up the 2nd they really seem to want. If the Rams do want a QB in the first and it seems he will drop they could get a pretty good LT with a high second. Look what they did with Avila from the second round.

In all honesty I hope it's for real because this is as close to win-win as it's going to get. No matter where he ends up I expect a fourth round pick for Kupp, maybe a high 5th round pick due to his injury history. Nacua was a 5th round pick so they can find value in that round with a TE or RT.

Listening to Jaxson Dart, the more I like him. He would blossom under MCV and Stafford it Staff stays. Not the strongest arm. But he can make a lot of throws.
