Bit shocked, but at least we don’t have to wonder. Mcvay and Snead don’t dilly dally.

Goff’s Hot GF: the fuck? Stafford’s Hot Wife: fuck yeah!

Baffling beyond belief.

Same talent? You've got to be kidding.

QFTOS, Goff Trade Edition;

Blockbuster trade! Goff to Detroit. Lions get two #1 draft picks also!!!! ( from Rams)

I really, really, really hope Goff is a bridge QB and they don’t view him as the future

And that answers the question if Stafford will get you multiple firsts.

I still get a QB if one is available at 7. Suck in ‘21. And then reload with 2 first rounders in in’22

Am I reading that right? It’s almost like they fleeced the Rams.

Now can the Lions turn around and package Goff and three first round picks for Watson?

I just read on Twitter that the WFT offer was better

Goff is a salary dump. We cut him after two years. This is an NBA trade.

Anything can happen, but you would assume these future 1sts will be lower 1st RD picks. Rams legit contenders with Stafford at QB.
Now we kind of have to root against Stafford going forward...

Goff, ok, whatever. Average starting QB?
His reputation has waned since that awful Super Bowl performance.

Nobody should think of Goff as value, he’s just money being moved around. I will say, though, as someone who watches a ton of westcoast football, he’s not as bad as the general opinion of him is.

I hope they try to deal Goff again, but that's very unlikely.

They are top heavy now with the Stafford/Ramsey/Donald/Kupp deals. Any of them go down and it’s curtains.

Plus, that division is a total bitch. Stafford currently is the 3rd best QB in the NFC West,

Funniest thing I’ve learned with this is how Goff has more Pro Bowl appearances/ recognition than Stafford. 2 to 1.

Goff also has playoff wins, in fact a Super Bowl appearance ... but we kinda know Stafford is a better QB

To make it even more interesting , the Lions play at the Rams next year. I can see this as a Sunday Night game.

Hell, Goff won a playoff game THIS year with pins in his thumb and he’s been to a Super Bowl. I’m not saying Goff is the future answer as our QB, but he’s not a total stiff.

No one really thought Stafford could fetch two 1sts, so this is about as good as we could have hoped for.

One week he looks like a total stud and the next he’s throwing numerous INT with a pick 6 thrown in. He’s a rollercoaster. He has a really good arm, but he turns into a spaz with pressure

I'd count on Goff starting the season and being given a chance. Take any personal opinions of him out of it and look at the GM that just traded for him.

NFL Network said there were more than six offers for Stafford so there was plenty of interest.

Meinke said 7 or 8 offers involving at least a first round pick.

Goff isn’t getting traded. Rams overpaid to dump him to Detroit.

Is this not true or did people on this thread missed it? I keep on seeing everyone talking about Goff's cap hit still.

If this is indeed the case, I feel a whole heck of lot better about this trade. This means that we have a better chance to keep some of our FA's! :!2:

Upgrade at QB, less cap space taken by the QB position, probably keep at least one more FA of ours. I can live with this. :idea2:

I know I’m not supposed to talk politics. But if Stanford’s wife doesn’t like Michigan’s COVID rules, she sure as hell isn’t gonna dig California’s.

McV is excited. I'm more excited about next year too. I bet that's what the suits wanted as well.

Stafford was one of the very few bright spots the Lions have had for years. He got tired of playing on one of the 4 worst teams in the NFL. Shitty coaching, shitty front office, shitty rest rooms. He wanted the Rams and he will give the team a real good chance to compete at the highest level for at least 5 years. The guys who aren't loving this are delusional. Mark this day and stick it in my face if I turn out to be wrong.

1. If Brad Holmes felt the same way about Goff that Sean McVay obviously does, he'd never have made this deal.

2. Anthony Lynn is playing with house money. If he can get Goff back to the 2017-18 version, Lynn will be a star. If he can't, it won't be viewed as his fault.
