POST #66 TOPIC AUTHOR Last edited by PARAM on Jan 06 2020, edited 1 time in total. So who do ya like next weekend? Minnesota @ San Francisco?I'm calling the upset here. Cousins got the monkey off his back but it's still hanging onto his arm IMHO. San Francisco started 8-0 and finished 5-3. But of those 5 victories only 2 were convincing. They beat Arizona 36-26 two weeks after squeaking by against them 28-25 and they beat Green Bay 37-8. But that was 7 weeks ago. A lot has changed since then. Including that 3 point win over the Cardinals, SF beat New Orleans by 2, the Rams by 3 and Seattle by 5. Their point differential over the first 7 games was +130; over the last 9 it was +39. If the Vikings can run Dalvin Cook, and I don't see why they can't, their defense might be the difference in this game. Minnesota 24-20Tennessee @ BaltimoreAfter a great win in New England, the Titans are riding high. But I don't see anybody stopping Baltimore. Ravens 27-10Houston @ Kansas CityMahomes can do it all, except play defense. Watson isn't too shabby himself. I see a shoot out here with the game coming down to the final ticks, if not overtime. Kansas City is tough at home but Houston will compete. Chiefs 34-31, though I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see the score reversed. Seattle @ Green Bay"We want the ball and we're gonna score!!!" I don't anticipate either quarterback making such a bold statement should it go to overtime but I doubt it will. Seattle beat an injury riddled Eagles team, especially with their QB going down in the second series. And still they won by just 8 against a 40 year old QB who couldn't perform a Nick Foles impersonation. They just have too many warts IMHO to do it two weeks in a row on the road. Why? Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay 26-17. Been following the horns since the Coliseum had a Roman playing there. NFC doesn't seem as cut and dried. Vikes can beat the 49ers. I'm pulling for the Vikes and Packers next week. Not sure how those will turn out. 49er defense has slipped. But their offense has picked it up. I think Seattle's season ends in Green Bay. They struggled to beat a Philly team without Wentz. Cousins got the monkey off his back but it's still hanging onto his arm IMHO. San Francisco started 8-0 and finished 5-3. But of those 5 victories only 2 were convincing. They beat Arizona 36-26 two weeks after squeaking by against them 28-25. Including that 3 point win over the Cardinals, SF beat New Orleans by 2, the Rams by 3 and Seattle by 5. Their point differential over the first 7 games was +130; over the last 9 +39. And still they won by 8. They just have too many warts IMHO to do it two weeks in a row on the road. And then there's Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay 26-17.I will be lazy and pick all the home teams. 1 by dieterbrock 5 years 6 months ago Total posts: 11512 Joined: Mar 31 2015 New Jersey Hall of Fame Re: So can we talk about the playoffs yet? POST #68 @PARAM Dont sleep on KC’s defense. They have been playing some solid defense as of late, finished 7th in points against for the season. POST #69 Chiefs have been playing pretty solid defense lately. And their offense is solid too. Baltimore have been on another level. I expect them both to win. AFC title game should be a good one. With their top running backs out its gonna be hard for them. by Elvis 5 years 6 months ago Total posts: 41518 Joined: Mar 28 2015 Los Angeles Administrator Re: So can we talk about the playoffs yet?
