Summary of today’s hearing:
-NFL again asked for immediate dismissal. No decision but also no denial of motion.
-the lawyers kind of ran the bus over Goodell and Grubman regarding their depositions about the relocation guidelines. The lawyers say they mean nothing and the Goodell was wrong.
-the NFL wants next weeks hearings to be 100% private with gag rules enforced. No press in the room.
-continued talk about change of venue. Seemed to be paperwork and procedure stuff around that. Could have included lists of acceptable options.

You know the funny part about this whole lawsuit by STL ? They allege "Breach of contract" by The Rams. Actually the ones who breached the contract IS St. Louis. They failed to maintain The Dome, even after they were given a 10 reprieve to get it in shape. They failed to do that. So frankly the judge should have dismissed the lawsuit, and then ordered STL to pay ALL legal costs The Rams have had to pay. That is a fact.

From St. Louis radio this morning:
-there's a new law firm that's part of the Rams defense group. They're the ones that submitted the request to kick the media out of the court room.
-$1 billion seems to be the settlement price the Rams/NFL might be interested in. But that price includes the complete secrecy/document destruction that might not be available.
-the St. Louis group might not settle at any price. They want this in court.
-moving the case down to Joplin Missouri seems to where the Rams/NFL want. IIRC that's a Dallas Cowboys market.

And ? My point stands. So what if it is in court or not. Again the majority of STL citizens fail to see it is not Kroenke or the rams, or even the NFL that failed. It is the political leaders of STL, and the owners of the dome that failed you all. They are the ones that violated the contract, they are the ones who breached the contract.

1) Spare me the “woe is Stan” act.
2) We know we screwed up.
3) If Stan hadn’t shit on St. Louis on the way out of town, this lawsuit never would have been filed. What we want is revenge.
4) His people shouldn’t have left proof all over Rams Park in the haste to get out of here. Without the documentation left behind the lawsuit wouldn’t have been filed.
5) Don’t point at relocation criteria and call them holy/written in stone, then call them crap right after that.

St.Louis is claiming they were defrauded by Stan and the NFL into spending money to pay an exorbitant fee to architects to come up with a desperate last minute Hail Mary stadium proposal to keep the Rams once somebody with a functioning brain in St. Louis realized that the Rams might actually move to LA?

The Rams nor the NFL signed a contract with the city nor St. Louis forever making the Rams their property. I don’t care if Stan and Demoff told St. Louis they have a real chance of keeping the Rams if they came up with a great stadium proposal while emailing each other “Ha, Ha, watch these rubes spend all of this money and we are out the door no matter what” each and every day. Morally that may be reprehensible, but it is not illegal nor is it grounds for civil damages. St. Louis was not forced to spend that money, it did it in a desperate attempt to keep an NFL team they were losing due to their own incompetence.

I have doubts that this suit would see the light of day anywhere else.

This is clearly a revenge motivated action with little to no merit. I seriously doubt the plaintiffs prevail. I'm sure just the hassle is somehow pleasing the locals but I have a feeling it won't end as well as hoped.

There is no hope at the end.

At this point I don’t care if St. Louis loses, Stan still gets Rams Park for a $1 and the Blitz law firm has to pay Stan’s lawyer fees. But if the NFL is forced to more clearly lay out stadium lease negotiation ends and make relocation guidelines even more firm then so be it. I just don’t want the fans of Chicago, Buffalo, Jacksonville etc to go through what St. Louis, Oakland and San Diego did.
