I totally get this, it just seems like it's SO close to what we might reveal that I'm pre-emptively pissed off. If that makes any sense, or even worse that our new uni's are so bad that the Charges might have the best Rams uni in the league! :lol2:

Got to give the Chargers credit though. That organization has no shame. From the youtube channel stopping just short of saying Sofi is their exclusive home, and giving zero indication as to who's paying the bills, and almost no mention of the Rams ever. To this:

They sure did stumble on the move to LA (which we can all agree never should have happened), but they've really upped their media messaging since then.

the rams deserve every bit of the mockery they're getting because of the cringe-worthy descriptions that accompanied their logo release, i mean good grief was that embarrassing or what?

"The mark was crafted to evoke a sense of upward and forward movement, amplified by the gradients. The letters are italicized, mirroring the connected, progressive nature of both LA and the Rams organization. The depth of the mark design creates a sophisticated look unique to the Rams within the ecosystem of the NFL.

By focusing on the most iconic part of the team’s brand identity throughout franchise history – the Horn – the Rams discovered nature’s beauty unfold with the golden ratio (aka Fibonacci Sequence) in its curvature. This same ratio underpins the perfect spiral and the perfect wave and became the driving concept behind the new logos.

The shape of the ram horn that connects both logos mimics the spiral of a football and the crest of a wave in the ocean, the same design drivers that influenced SoFi Stadium, which the Rams will call home starting this year."

Well that's going to be hard to do when we're the laughing stock of the NFL, and even harder now that it looks like the Chargers have a much better marketing and design team than we do. If they field a better team than we do next season that's a wrap.

Agreed. They're not going to win over many "new" fans or OLD ones if the are the laughing stock of the internet!! As much "mocking" as this new logo has received on the net and social media(which is where most kids live today), they aren't going to win many over! Especially in L.A. where you HAVE to look good to fit in and be "accepted"!

The new uni is either going to be a home run or a strike out. There won't be any singles, doubles or triples. They either nail it or they failed IMO and they already have 2 strikes against them!! The LA Swirl (strike one) and the dick head ram (strike 2)! And here's the wind up...

Yeesh, the logo has to be shown twice...just in case you missed it the first time? That's a pretty uninspiring t-shirt.

On the plus side, the guy has nice teeth and a solid manicure.

Those Chargers uniforms look freaking boss! They look nothing like the RAMS. They'll have the sweetest uniforms in the league, certainly better than their stadium co-tenants if we modify our classic togs and helmet. If Demoff and the RAMS brass think changing our uniforms is going to increase any fan base they are crazy after seeing these Chargers sets. If I was a young kid looking for an NFL team to follow based on uniforms (like many of us were back in the day), I would pick the Chargers in a heartbeat.

while reading this i flashed to image of a rams fan looking for his seat at an away game, clad in a rams t-shirt with the head logo, and an opposing fan yelling "hey, nice dick face!", with everyone within earshot immediately knowing what this meant thanks to social media, prompting them to join in on the laughter. :oops2:

Longtime Rams fans have endured enough to not be daunted by this but as you say, if the goal was to attract new fans, DeMoff has failed spectacularly. The way it's looking, the Chargers are going to be "looking" a lot better to open up Sofi than the Rams. Stan can NOT be happy about that.

I wonder just how warm DeMoff's seat is getting? Winning LA and branding have presumably been of significance to ESK and DeMoff has done nothing but bungle those things. How much rope does he get?

I don't follow Twitter too much and not DeMoff in particular but people have been saying that he's been very quiet lately.

Which was his biggest mistake and one that he brought on himself. I still wouldn't be happy if he'd produced a bad logo or bad uniforms but everyone makes mistakes. If he's genuine and enthusiastic about what he's doing but he just doesn't have taste or the right people around him, that's forgivable. But the way he's handled this whole situation has evaporated any potential sympathy or empathy for him.

The freakin' Chargers are embracing their heritage and producing a good mix of classic and modern while the Rams are doing everything they can to leave what everyone loves behind.
