It's worth noting here that every — that's every — returning series was down from year-ago premieres by 10 to 50 percent. It's not particularly pretty.

Sounds like folks are getting their entertainment a different way. Seems to me that streaming is going to take a huge bite out of TV / cable as we know it.
These missing viewers sure aren't at the football games though.

I cut my cable more than a decade ago. Since now there is a sports bar on every corner ... I had no problem finding a place to watch the games if I couldn't stream it.

Should I be asking what I have missed out on?

i spent close to that last season when i took my son to the rams season opener @ sfo, it's a complete joke, altho i didn't mind paying for the great memory my son and i will always have, we had a great time, he still laughs out loud at the $12 beers he tilted back, on dad's dime, ha ha...
