100% agree with this. The Coliseum is an old POS. The parking sucks, the seats suck, the amenities suck. The sight lines suck. The only thing it has going for it , is it's history and once you been there once or twice, even that wears off.
I can guarantee you that the Rams are not losing a wink of sleep over what the optics show. Exciting football and winning will put butts in seats but even if it doesn't, at the end of the day, even that doesn't really matter because it's only a temp home. The same applies to the San Diego Chargers of Carson.

Some other points, thanks to BubbaRamsFan (quoting his post from another site)

"Might be worth pointing out that in LA this weekend, there were 2 college games, Trojans and Bruins that drew over 175,000, a Dodger game that drew 50,000 at the same time the Rams played, and it was over 90 degrees. The Rams did sell over 60,000 tickets."

It was HOT AS HELL!!!! We were so lucky to have seats in the shade of the pressbox! We broke down our tailgate at noon and went in, we stayed in the concession area up top in the shade for 40 mins before heading to our seats (we didnt realize our seats were in the shade) I was frikken dying after breaking down the tailgate.

Bottom line though....if we see a few more games like yesterday people will re-priorotize how they spend their entertainment $$$.

You all might take into account that the day before there were 2 college games that drew 175,000, Trojans being a top ten team played at the Colesium the day before, and the 1st place Dodgers had over 50,000 just a few miles way at the same time as the Rams game. Top it off with 95 degree heat.
Any other city with that much sports going on at the same time and they'd be gratefull to have 60,000+ in their seats.

But its the Rams and its the "in" thing to rag on them and LA.

Just like all the talking heads and pundits this morning going on an on how the Colts without Luck, are just a bad team. Well Luck doesn't play defense and the Rams D hung 40 on them.

If it were the Packers or Patriots who drubbed the Colts 46-9, they would be going on and on about that's what a playoff team should do to an 8-8 team without their QB. But the Rams get ragged on.

So the Patriots will get slamed if they don't beat the Colts 135 - 3?

Rams are the Rodney Dangefield of the NFL, they get no respect.

Changing perception is like turning a tanker. It doesn't happen quickly. Incremental movement is what is needed and that is what has been happening this off season and into week one. Let's embrace being the underdogs week in and week out. Hopefully our opponents will think the same think and have already circled the Rams game as an easy win. I'm sure the Colts did when the schedule first came out.

I think this thread would have been a lot more positive if the OP had pointed out that attendance was suffering all over the league yesterday instead of pointing right at LA.

49ers to Review Options to Improve Fan Experience at Levi's Stadium
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2732 ... is-stadium

On Monday, Ann Killion of the San Francisco Chronicle reported the 49ers "have engaged an architecture firm to review short and long term options to 'enhance the fan experience.'"

This comes after Killion shared a jarring image of a mostly empty stadium at the second-half kickoff of Sunday's season-opening loss to the Carolina Panthers:

It should be noted Killion's picture depicts the side of the stadium under the sun. Peter Hartlaub of the San Francisco Chronicle called the shady side of the stadium "packed throughout and temperate" and suggested it made a significant difference in the overall enjoyment of the game:

lol ... I didn't move to LA ... but the Rams were the least of my issues when moving away from St. Louis. After all, by then ... the team had already cut Isaac Bruce ... a player who got his start with the Los Angeles Rams ... how can I hate on the city that loved their rookie Isaac Bruce?

It is "game over" for the NFL in St. Louis ...

I still love the city .. I still love my friends there .. I still love my family ... I still love the Clydesdales ...( even though their beer sucks)..I enjoyed having season tickets there .. I enjoyed giving tickets away to friends ... I enjoyed getting better seats from other contacts I had .. I have no hate in my heart for St. Louis or Los Angeles ... I still love the Rams ... I'd love them even if they moved to North Korea.... Dennis Rodman can go fuck himself, but he is not associated with the Rams.

Real Rams Fans .. were still Real Rams Fans when the team moved from Los Angeles to St. Louis ..

Real Rams Fans ARE still Real Rams Fans when the team moved from St. Louis to Los Angeles

Fake Rams Fans abandoned moderating their discussion board.... but the REAL RAMS FANS started a new one.
