That's a very difficult path.

But......we beat a 14 win team.....and a 13 win team.....and took a 15 win team to OT.

You never know how things will play out. Could be we have to face a 14 win team, a 10 win team, an 11 win team, then a 10 or 11 win team.

I'm not counting any chickens though. All we have to do is win Monday.

Why is everyone using win/loss record as some sort of measuring stick?

STOP AND CONSIDER THIS:

Despite all the injuries the Rams would have been 11-6 had McVay chosen to play starters. Also, the Rams played the hardest regular season schedule in the NFL. Do you think the Vikings would have been 11-6 with the same schedule? Hell no.

IMO McVay's decision to rest the vets was the correct decision because I think it confirms that Stafford's arm hasn't been 100% since the Buffalo game. He couldn't exactly rest just Stafford without tipping everyone off. He hasn't been listed on the injury list so that is a huge reason why. So he figured oh well he can go in with a completely rested team. I also suspect that Kupp isn't 100% either because there is no way that Stafford stops feeding his #1 WR unless he's protecting him. So I wouldn't be surprised if Kupp is traded after the season.

The play of Whittington would fill the role of Nacua who would move into Kupps vacanted slot. I can see them extending Robinson for two years. Atwell is probably gone replaced by Smith.

This team will be totally different next year. But the thing that we must focus upon is that the team is pretty much healthy other than Long and Corum. Now they are rested with time for the dings and strains to somewhat heal. No I wouldn't want to be the Vikings coming here to play a healthy Rams team when they beat them a few weeks ago and had not gotten everyone back.

Records without context are meaningless. Put in context and the Rams cannot be taken lightly. Darnold is going to be under pressure again, so it's important the secondary doesn't give him quick easy throws to avoid the pressure. It's why I think we will see Forbes in this game in a rotational role. If the secondary jumps the receivers early the rush will get to Darnold. I agree with those who feel it wasn't that Darnold was so terrible but more that he was under a lot of quick pressure. We have seen how poorly Stafford and Goff both played when facing that kind of pass rush. IMO the TE is a key receiver in the offense so the Rams can't ignore that position.

Stafford absolutely must come out on fire and force the Vikings to play from behind.

Right. So we should go to the NFL and tell them, you know what? If you apply context to our 10-7 record, you would clearly see that the Rams should be the 1 seed. Give us the bye and home field throughout.

Roger Goodell is a reasonable guy, I'm sure he'd see how right that is.

You are what your record (after you apply context to it) says you are.

yep dont give a care about the path right now, we have or hands full on Monday. Just figure out a way to win that. Gonna need our offensive line and offense overall.

We have basically been in must win situation for 6 weeks, hope that has prepared the youngins for it.

One game at a time. Just focus on Monday night. Win that one and then we can worry about the next week. Lose and we start discussing the offseason.

I was just looking at Ticketmaster just now, and comparing prior to the Lions/Vikings game,

there were plenty of red/resale tickets available, now they are mostly all gone.

Now I see nothing but blue/standard tickets available,

I figured it would be the other way around since the blue tickets are cheaper? Hopefully those are RAMs fan tickets.

:D

But isn't that the fun part?

"If we beat Minnesota and Green Bay wins, we get the Bucs or Washington...."

Rather than, "eyes front fella it's Minnesota, Minnesota, Minnesota......oh damn we lost! Who do you like in the draft?"

Our focus plays no part in the outcome of the game.....it's the team's focus.....so where's the harm in looking ahead? Because if we do lose, "ahead" is the draft.

You should take a gander at the Vikings board. For a 14 win team their fans are not optimistic. They had a poll on if they think their team will win. Barely over 30 percent said yes they will. They don't have much confidence the way they played in what was essentially a playoff game. I hope they're right.

Ah to dream…yes. I think about future matchups. While also realizing we could be one and done.

And Dare, to quote my man Herm,

“YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME”

Records matter. Seeding matters, home vs road matters. How you play in the 3 hr window matters the most.
