But, you can be sticky all day then have a 3rd qtr and 1 in the first where you give up massive explosives. That can’t happen if you really want to be a top team. They literally have to come out of the bye and run off 5+ wins. The defense has to tackle better and eliminate explosives in order to do that. If an offense goes 15 plays and scores, so be it. But even that can’t happen more than 2x a game. The passing game on offense is really limited based on who is out at G/C and WR - and damn I miss Higs and even Davis Allen. Our TEs just don’t make a difference like we need them too - not to my eyes. All the more reason to design a heavy run approach with new play action wrinkles. We are not close. But at the same time, not so far off that it can’t be recovered. But damn we just aren’t good enough through 5 weeks. That’s a tough pill to swallow.

We need to take a hard look at TE. Parkinson has soft hands, but plays too soft overall. Compare him to GB monster TE!! If Parkinson cant catch the lasers from Staff in the red area what is the point.

I want to see Davis Allen, lets see what he can do, he was much harder to bring down after the catch.

Dare wrote:Don't blame this loss on the defense. One possession first and goal with no points. Two offensive turnovers and a missed extra point. That is why the Rams lost

Once again McVay chases points and comes away with nothing and it would have made a huge difference. Even a simple FG changes how they play that last possession. When McVay chases points and doesn't get them the Rams almost always lose. The one game he allowed the game to come to him, they beat the Niners. It's Sean's biggest weakness as a coach. I used to work at a casino in the San Diego area in their gaming commission. I've seen that same issue with gamblers with similar results.

The lack of defensive discipline and damn poor tackling is huge. As good as they are both Verse and Fiske made rookie mistakes by not being disciplined which cost the Rams. It's not so much Shula but with his young unit who make many crucial mistakes. That takes time to rectify.

That ended up not hurting the Rams, they held GB, got good field position and came down and scored a TD. If the Rams kicked the FG, whose to say GB doesnt go down and at least get a FG themselves. I rather McVay be a bit more aggressive like he has shown.

That’s not good. He’s been “Puka Light” so far and getting better.

I don't know if this has been discussed but I'm seeing an uptick in really janky flow of ref administration of Rams games.

Watching yesterday's game felt a lot like the "Kill Football in St. Louis" 2002-2015 era where the Rams seem to just not quite get the spots / borderline calls and the refs make super weird decisions that affect the flow of the game. Just stuff you do not see in other games. I am sure St. Loser Fan knows what I am talking about!

If the refs know you're a mistake prone team they are going to tend to not give you the benefit of the doubt and it piles up. This felt different from that - this felt like watching a St. Louis Rams game where "mysteriously" none of the little borderline calls would go their way. Makes you wonder if Rodrigue is on to something when she says the NFL is punishing the Rams ...

Def have noticed the Rams dont get any love from the refs. I have seen multiple holds, PI's terrible spots of the football and Staff getting smashed and no calls. The spotting the ball thing is the most mind numbing as it isnt that hard, but alas nothing gets done about it. Not sure what you are referring to with respect to Jourdan.

Parkinson was fouled a 3-4 times and only got the call once, he needs to be way more physical though...

What happened with Rodrigue? What did she say? What was she implying?

Colby Parkinson. You see the potential. A big tight end. He’s raw. Davis Allen is a beast. He does great. He’s fast gets to his spots.

Look at his tape at Baltimore insane. Tape. Scored. Touchdowns. I argue he was the best player on the field that game.

Stafford needs guys to catch the ball.

Once we get everybody back we should be better. But you see Stafford looking a little more polished and older as he’s playing he can throw from anywhere on the field. But the hits are getting to him.

They need to eventually draft a guy to take over for him. Whether it be the kid outa Arizona or in another draft they just need to get that guy in place.

I understand it only like, third hand, but my understanding was she believed the NFL was angry with the Rams for letting the team fall apart in 2022 instead of continuing to mortgage the future away, and that this resulted in the Rams getting less than favorable treatment.

I don't have actual tweets or quotes or anything, so maybe it was out of turn to drop her name.
