Lincoln Riley, citing recruiting burnout has announced he's leaving USC to coach the Arizona Cardinals. NOT!!!! He'll leave after 2023 to coach the Rams when Sean McVay retires permanently and the Rams 1 year experiment without him fails. Since they will have the #1 pick....their first #1 overall since 2016....it'll be like he never left USC!!!

I realize this makes me a cynic but I can't help but believe a large percentage of these interviews are to meet the Rooney Rule requirements. However, from everything I've read about Raheem, he's very knowledgable and impressive when you talk to him. And the guy has experience coaching both sides of the ball. So he would be a guy who might actually benefit from the Rooney rule. Good luck to him but if he doesn't get a gig, I'd welcome him back.

I mean it has been an issue in the past so you have a reason to be, but i think Raheem would be a pretty impressive interview, no lack of energy there. I think Raheem and Ryans from SF will get hard looks from teams. I hope McVay stays but if he doesnt, I hope he makes a decision quick...would like Raheem or Thomas Brown to run the ship.

That was my guess in that he's this year's Rooney Rule "guy".

Did you see the interviews on the Rams site? Wagner, Fuller, Stafford, Kupp, Floyd, Ramsey. They asked each and every one of them about McVay retiring. They were all good. But Ramsey's unique. Funny. Then they asked him about Morris getting interviewed by Denver....."yeah, they should! I hope it's a real interview though! Ya know what I mean."....not a question.

Yeah you know gotta get that black guy interview out the way. Get the Rooney rule in. It’s a joke. So we can hire the guy we want to hire.

Raheem Morris Demeco Ryan I think he will get a job.

But the Texans are the worst. Hire these black guys one season then fire them right away. What a joke.

Dave Culley

They signed Lovie Smith to a 3 year deal only to fire him a year into the deal.

Black coaches get one year. Steve Wilkes and it looked like he turned around Carolina. It’s laughable.

And I think Brian Flores should’ve been fired for the way he handled Tua and I’m a big Mike McDaniel guy.

But the Texans just make me crack up. It’s obvious they are full of shit. Just hire Josh Mckown we know you want to.
