Well, look at all I missed after crashing early last night.

The underscored is one of the 3 reasons that I am concerned about tan outcome in our favor. Besides the 2 relocation fees suffing a billion into the NFL war chest and the committees apparently stacked against the Rams interests, the league stopped the Rams (or anyone) from filing last year. Kroenke may well have started the stadium by now and Spanos would be S.O.L. This would have been one owner frustrated but it could have been far more easily managed than all this is.

Who benefits from a delay other than Spanos, Davis and StLoo?
I guess the NFL looks more like a benevolent organization as you point out and may have done what it needed to avoid lawsuits.

The report that ESK if denied might build the stadium anyway is an interesting play.

You know, seems to me that filing is likely to further the perception that they really do want to move but the sole purpose is to block ESK,,,, and keep SD moving towards a plan. The fans, aka pawns, are getting played most likely. Otherwise Spanos is undermining a great plan for the Rams and the NFL in order to commit franchise suicide.

ha ha... Been practicing since Georgia died but really looking forward to retiring that way of thinking within the next couple of weeks.

I wish I'd been keeping track of Spanos and the Chargers more. In his statement, he says that for 14 years they've been trying to get something done in SD and that at least 9 proposals they've submitted for a new stadium in SD have been shot down. But, from what little I do know of the situation it's been the opposite. SD keeps coming up with proposals but the Chargers keep turning them down because Spanos only wants a new venue in the downtown area.

Also, I think he's ultimately going to lose the argument if he keeps trying to say that 25% of his fan base is from L.A. So what? If they're actually his fans then they will remain his fans even if the Chargers stay in SD, right? If those fans are going to jump ship if some other team comes along, they weren't really Chargers fans to begin with.

And I believe you are correct that he has turned down anything Mission Valley. Some of our SD bro's may be able to shed some more light on this.

it seems to me, that these billionaire owners sitting on these committees must be privy to all of the facts involved. This can't be lost on them unless they are turning a blind eye.
ESK may not have tried as long but he certainly is more effective.

Always loved the Irony and it was not too long ago that many "St. Louis People" would debate with you as to why he would never leave. Fact is he makes his franchise relevant again and quite frankly based on fan support alone ESK should get the nod from that standpoint.

Come on I need my team back and although I am New York born and bred my teams are the Rams, Dodgers, Kings & Lakers and there was a theme that was hijacked some 22 years ago.
