I agree with you. The Rams , NFL, and Kroenke will win. Fact is they did nothing wrong. They followed the terms of the contract, and went through the whole mediation process, and all. The true blame lays in fact with the political leaders of STL, and MO. They drew up the contract, and they failed to maintain the Dome as required. The plans that STL, and MO put forward would not have met the requirement the contract called for. If I were the judge I would throw out this lawsuit, and make STL, and MO foot all the legal bills.

Fresh rumor per St. Louis radio that the Rams and NFL are offering to settle for around $500 million but still want some way to keep everything from the case (relocation documents, emails/calls/texts, accounting, owner depositions etc) private.

And it's reasonable to assume that If the Kroenke group settles they had something that could be extorted.

Where I am coming from on this: I am not from either place, LA or St.L, though I have lived in both (well, near LA not in LA proper). To me the Rams hometown is tv. I am not a super-homer when it comes to my own team--if the Rams screwed up in anyway, I just go with the truth and quietly assume that overall, in spite of any mistakes, they're worth my loyalty. At the same time mistakes are mistakes...if they happened, no point in pretending they didn't. So I am kind of a homer with qualifiers.

Kroenke never settles his lawsuits. He always wins. Why would all of a sudden he pay $500 million just because St. Louis is being mean to him and he did nothing wrong?
