Sounds like the game is getting moved, which for player safety and not having to deal with the elevation would be a good thing.

If so, moving those same injuries from the bad field at Azteca to the better field at the Coliseum might become a real exercise in logistical gymnastics. But nothing that the conspiracy gods can't handle, I guess.

Have you been chatting with Harold? lol

I dunno. Since the Rams are acclimating and the Chefs aren't that might give us an advantage.
Playing in LA maybe / maybe not.

Given the RAMS are practicing at elevation and KC is not then move the game to Cusco, Peru.

If the players are concerned then the NFL has to move the game. The management organization of that field sound thoroughly incompetent; however, the NFL seemed too cavalier with taking their word for it that all was wonderful.

As for these last minute attempts at fixing the field...300 pound, cleated men running on a field...good luck.

I’ve seen the tweets - just nothing confirming a move. Was just curious.

If the field is dangerous, move the game. We don’t need to risk losing any of our players.

They are replacing the field with little pieces of sod - how is that going to be safe by Monday?

Agreed.

Rodgers flapping his arms imploring the Packer fans to light it up was disheartening, though not unexpected.

I would like to take advantage of any altitude possible, but the league may have flubbed this one.

The Chiefs and Rams have started making travel plans for Los Angeles rather than Mexico City, Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reports. There is the “likelihood” the Rams host Monday night’s game at home, Robinson adds.

The Rams are practicing in Colorado Springs this week to ready for the altitude of Mexico City.

The playing surface at Azteca Stadium became an issue Monday after a mandatory inspection. Some players from both teams are “seriously considering” not playing due to safety concerns about the field.

Workers are laying new sod in the stadium, and the league’s decision is expected Tuesday as talks continue among officials from the NFL, Rams, Chiefs and Estadio Azteca.

The game is the most highly anticipated of the NFL regular season.
