I also think it’s pretty clear that you are working very hard to defend him, not because you necessarily agree with his views, but because you perceive a threat to your right to be an opinionated contrarian. Of course, nobody it’s infringing upon your rights...we’re just two guys talking.

And, hey...if I’m off the mark regarding your motivation, you can always fall back on telling me to “fuck off” again.

So you make it personal, fall back on name-calling, and then evoke the idea that the others who have the same kinds of reaction you do means you're speaking for a truth. That kind of thing happens, but it's no "threat." I just have a thick skin about that kind of stuff and it goes in an out of happening. And no I don't think you're right about any of the stuff you were saying before your last meltdown post there.

What I don't see is an effort to actually debate LAR. I've done it many times myself...he and I don't agree on some key things, though we agree on some too. Like, you know...everybody with everybody.

Meanwhile I will just post all my contrarian stuff about how much I like Goff, Donald, Kromer, McVay, Phillips, Woods, and Snead, among others. I don't know, there's just something about me that needs to topple civilization that way. I think it comes from watching all those Mad Max films. 8-)

IF so let's decorate Brandin Cooks cuz he's also on his 3rd team in 5 years.

The difference tho is TWO teams gave Cooks up! :lol2:

Wait, getting a 1st round pick is giving a player up but letting him walk as FA isn’t?
Your logic is failing here sport.

At the end of the day, Cooks has had a better career, has had more value on the trade market, is off to a better start in 2018 and most importantly, is on our team!!
Go Rams!!

Guess you don’t pay attention, then.

And now we have the “martyr card” post.

You had your "unjustified angry lash out" shot, AR. It's gameday. 8-)

And it's not personal for me so there's no equivalent energy there for me to tap into. Plus I assume that sooner or later we'll agree on something.

Enjoy the game. Rams have not been 3-0 since 2001.

So who's winning this debate? There is a lot of 'he said - you said' in this thread.

Perceptions are opinions. Everyone has one. They also have bellybuttons but that doesn't mean they're there to be pushed.

Sure we all want to be accurate in our assessment of things and when someone disagrees it can be unsettling, , to think you could be wrong about something you spend a lot of time thinking about,, passionately.
That said, if everyone is coming from a truthful place, not consistently taking an argumentative contrary position for the sake of debate and are open minded and desiring knowledge, many of these posts can become very informative and valuable. We have a lot of bright posters here.

After decades of being bad we all want a winner. But no one should bury their heads in the sand to certain opinions even if they don't align with their own. However, when opinions are served with 'attitude' then things fall apart. Answer, please check the attitudes at the keyboard.

We need to keep it chill. It's a football discussion. No one should do attitude.
We only know what we know from afar. No one should force feed their opinions down anyone else's throat. And we all ultimately want the exact same thing, for the Rams to kick ass.

Please pardon the windy post. If you are reading this part thanks for hanging in there. No doubt that long posts get skimmed over way more than short ones.

GO RAMS

30+ yards with a flick of the wrist.
That’s what arm strength is all about.
