Meredith was a Cowboy through and through and likely not an impartial opinion. Cosell was fired for calling a black man a "little monkey" and he wore a toupee. I wouldn't suggest either of them as a compass for good taste.

I don't think things are so far different that abandoning the design is necessary. If you look at the picture of Gurley in the throwbacks a few posts ago, the horn tip is clearly visible on the sleeve. It just isn't the problem or a valid reason for all the re-designs.

don't think anyone said the "horn tip" can't be visible on today's jerseys, they obviously can, but they look like absolute crap (imo)... my response was to those who seemingly think that the sleeves don't have to look like crap, that with a bit of ingenuity they could look a lot like they did many years ago, which i don't see as humanly possible given the way jerseys are cut today... hell, even sleeve stripes look goofy.

As for the RAMS, their answers to some of those questions seem rather tortured. It is just a uniform, it can't possibly be that difficult to come up with a decent looking style on a limited amount of material. They have some great examples of the past unis to work with.

Just do it, and don't wait for the new stadium.

I still cannot understand the rationale behind the “we must wait until the new stadium opens to change the uniforms” mentality. The uniform change is something that fans have been clamoring for from Day 1 of the move as evidenced by the number of throwback jerseys at home games.

Waiting to change the uniforms for when the stadium opens seems like they think the stadium will be a flop so they need something else to excite the fans.
