That is really a telling point.

I know. You're the one who made it.

Empty backfield sets, no fullback or the roster, we're throwing the ball 60% of the time. This isn't your father's ground and pound...

HA HA. No kidding, no mistaking this O for Ground Chuck. My biggest concern is the Beef-O-roni on the line hasn't got the run blocking thing down or aren't naturally good at it. Why else pass so much other than having to start Benny gm 1 and a dinged-out of sync Mason gm 2 and then mixing in an out of sync Gurley game 3.
Or could it be that Fish is allowing Cigs to go aerial in an attempt to fit into this pass happy league of ours?

I'll say it again. If the Rams caught those dropped passes on Sunday (especially LK's) I believe the rams would have won. The TE's hurt us this game.

It might be better if it was the other way around, if Fisher had an OC (like a Norv Turner) that he had so much confidence in he didn't pay a lot of attention to it.

Now that's the question. Why has Fisher never hired a top notch self sufficient OC?

Fisher's best years offensively with the Titans were when he had Mike Heimerdinger as OC. I'm not sure what their relationship was as far as how much input Fisher had on the offense...

Well, he put out the search last year and ended up hiring within. That tells me either Cignetti was the best person for the job, or no decent OC wanted to come here. I going with the latter.

I agree, I dont see why anyone would come here.
And its not because we dont have the horses. I think its pretty clear how Fisher wants to do things

So back in the Kellen Clemens era, with a bunch of scrubs and Zac Stacy as our RB, the Rams were actually running the ball effectively. What were they doing different then was working?

These big guys up front aren't quick enough to effectively run the football with a zone blocking scheme. WTF? over

And I've never seen a team run the football directly at 8 in the box more than the Rams.

Fish imposing his will but the opponent wasn't willing. Rob and Rob on the ends could be maulers, both have athleticism and size. Jamon looks good and I haven't heard Saffold's name come up to often so that's good, but the middle seems leaky. Slow adjustment on outside blitz'.

What ever happened to the fullback?
