You know, ROD could just create a moderated sub-forum for threads and all discussions related to the move. Thread & posts won't be made public unless moderator approved. While it would be a greater burden on the moderators, it would facilitate discussion of a topic that the members clearly want to discuss, while also achieving the mods goals of keeping it civil by withholding uncivil posts.

I run my own Xenforo board (albeit it's private for company communnication), and settting up a moderated sub-forum is very easy.

I'm all for letting ROD do what they do and we'll just do what we do. That's what makes having choices so great.

Meh no loss and it will only help in the end. We won't have any hard info on the possible relocation for months yet. Let people enjoy football and leave the relocation/restoration debate to simmer on the back burner. The only things to come out since the last meeting are comments from Gribman that don't help St. Louis at all so maybe it's better left alone. I won't miss the thread, as it was I popped my head in about once a week, participated a bit then left again for a while.

I'm clearly not an lA or St. Louis based Rams fan. But I am a lifelong Rams fan. I find the relocation topic worthy of discussion and on ROD I've always seen it as such. Not debate as much as discussion. Where I've seen the thread go off the tracks is where posters make accusations and attacks on Kroenke or the organization. Can't really have that. Easy for me to say as I don't have the emotional attachment that the locals do.
Either way, I am hopeful that when the season finally kicks off and we have actual football to discuss, the thread might re-open.
