Only 8 of the QBs drafted at the number one spot have won Super Bowls with the team that drafted them. Even Stafford had to wait until he had a team around him. It shows that the overall roster strength is the most important factor. Which is why I'm saying they need consistently good play at QB1 not necessarily a super star. Even the Niners know that which is why they are hesitating at paying Purdy the elite number he wants. They know how that will affect the roster around him.

Does anyone believe that without AD or Kupp the Rams still win SB LVI?

Look at the Lions. They have Goff at QB who is playing at an elite level and they still haven't even been to one.

There are going to be at least two maybe 3 QBs in next year's draft not named Manning that can get a good team to the Super Bowl if the team has the roster and coach to make it happen. The Niner's lost their chance with Purdy due to bad coaching decisions not bad play at QB. It's why even they know he's "good enough" to win it all if they have the roster around him to do it. IMO that isn't lost on McVay and Snead.

Jalen Daniels might have been the best QB last year but the Commanders lost to the better overall team. Does anyone think Mahomes isn't elite? Did they win the SB vs the Eagles? Is Hurts even more elite than Mahomes? Or was it simply a better team around Hurts?

Yes having a QB that can play at an elite level is important. But to think it's the most important metric is not refective of reality IMO. Speaking of Mahomes he was picked #10 and the second QB taken in 2017 and looks to be a HOF lock. If I remember correctly 2017 was considered a poor QB draft much like 2024. Trubisky was taken with the first pick and where is he?

The first pick QB mystic is just that a myth. Without the team around him they don't have the immediate success most assume comes with their acquisition. IMO scheme fit and the HC are more important than the draft position of the player.

The Rams lost the SB in 2018 not because of Goff but to a bad call by McVay who readily admits that now.

Wouldn’t the Rams roster fit your scenario of having that quality roster around a No.1 overall QB pick that would equate to a SB?

While I agree with most of what you are saying that you don’t need to be the No.1 pick to be an elite QB and there seem to be a few guys in next year’s draft that could become one on the Rams.

The big question mark might be can McVay cultivate and develop the Top 10 first round QB they may trade up to take? McVay is a HOF coach, however, he did lose some points when he ran Goff out of town.

I think we forget that when McVay ran Goff out of town he was pretty much a rookie head coach. I'm sure he learned alot since then.

Goff was traded in early 2021, following McVay's 4th year with the Rams.

That's not a rookie head coach.

He didn't run Goff out of town per se. He wanted an upgrade at QB and Goff was part of the deal. He didn’t believe in Goff at that time based on many things, especially the SB performance in 2018.

And McVay has intimated that he has learned a lot since the Goff trade. McVay will figure it out, but we have 9- 10 months to wait for this to possibly become a thing.

I think these articles are wreckles. How the fuck you gonna say Arch Manning is not coming out in the 26 draft???? All of a sudden he’s Matt Leinart???? Fuck outa here. NIL money.

You know what College Fucking Football players look at now?????

Jordan Travis Broke his leg in a fucking game didn’t play the bowl. And got drafted by the Jets had to early retire. You know how much money that cost him???????? He was a Heisman contender.

How about Jaylin Smith from Notre Dame. Who looked like the next Derrick Brocks. Major Torn ACL still recovered made the pro bowl. But was never the same. And out the league.

How about Juju Watkins going to change Women’s basketball. In the tournament tears her ACL.

And I know players play 4 seasons til their Senior Seasons. You can get injured in any game. Go get your money.

Arch Manning will have a phenomenal season and be the unquestioned number 1 pick in the upcoming draft. With potentially a Heisman. What more is there to do???? And maybe a national championship on a loaded Texas Team. Go get your bread.

It’s comical. Like Cooper Flagg was really returning to College.

I agree with all this shit. But you wrong. It ain’t about Manning. It’s about getting a guy who keeps us at our expectation with Stafford. Without Stafford??? What is this team??? Your weapons are as good as your Quarterback. I don’t want to go back to John Wolford days. How good were the Dolphins without Tua???? How good would the Chiefs be without Mahomes??? Or Bengals without Burrow???

This draft is loaded with Franchise guys. Manning Imalava Allar Klubinack Mussinger we gotta get one of these guys.

I’ve seen drafts.

1983 was great Quarterback draft.

Elway Marino Kelly that’s three hall of fame Quarterbacks.

1998 was supposed to be that. With Manning and Leaf. Well we got Manning.

2000 Brady one Hall of famer.

2004 Manning Rivers Rothlesburger

That’s three Hall of Famers

2010 One Hall of famer Stafford

2016
Mahomes and I’m gonna say before his Massage shit Watson was on a trajectory for Hall of fame. So I’ll put two there.

And 2020 two hall of famers Burrow Herbert.

Dare this feels like and looks like 1983

Or 2004

Manning Hall of Fame Immalava Hall of fame Mussinger Hall of fame. You got three in this draft.

This draft looks and feels loaded with talent at the Quarterback position.

I’ll say this to. The next draft. I would take Riola over Manning.

Yes your right, what I meant was he was still pretty new to head coaching, I had a feeling someone would nitpick that. Should have corrected it.
